You need to add more levels, including other weapons like shotguns, chainsaws, melee weapons, and special weapons (the M60 and the grenade launcher), although these two would be similar to a "random rifle," or you could get an M60 or a grenade launcher at a maximum or high level.
But levels are also needed for the Tank and the Witch, in the special leveling system for infected.
I hope you find a solution so the levels continue as the chapters progress.

would it be possible to add a trajectory line for throwable items such as pipes and what not? Unless there already is an add-on like that or its just not possible curious about it though

i think we can create a version without any props,only slightly increasing movement speed and health,playing on some larger maps can offer a better experience,just like playing resident evil.

@Lightymoon a mi hermano no le gustó y a mí menos.
cuándo morimos y volvimos a aparecer no funcionaba ni este add-on y otro que estaba utilizando que es similar tiene que ver con las armas random y lo que no me gusto es que me este cambiando de armas pues vi que hacian desmadre los 2 y los quité no los recomiendo. :steamthumbsdown:

Pretty fun mod. Is it possible to have your leveled up weapons drop nearby, or at your feet? Often times the auto swap to an assault rifle at level 1 feels pretty jarring. Still enjoy it tho :steamthumbsup:

that sounds fun, i actually thought about making one for specials (my idea wasn't as what you suggested but something similar) but then i remembered how ppl hate versus mods and canceled it.


for now im trying to make the levels move with chapters but im stuck with the load funtion, i'll try again later hopefully it works

if that works i may do one for specials cuz it sounded so fun

In case if you're interested, there's another idea to counter this survivor's version: "Special Infected Leveling System". The mechanisms will be like this, more or less:
- When special uses ability, exp is gained.
- When ability successfully hits a survivor (tongue, ride, charge etc), exp is gained.
- Leveling up will unlock special skills/ auto skills (examples: acid drop when grabbing a survivor with tongue, charge etc, vomit/ bile effect when doing normal attack or taking damage from survivors).
- There are ultimate skills when level is maxed (examples: extra damage, extra defense, fire immunity (fire is extinguished immediately), instant incap when riding, charging etc, calling horde, or even calling certain special infected or boss (either witch or tank).
- You can vary the skills as you like

that's actually genius, last question tho:

if i start a camp from chapter other than chapter 1, would the event player_first_spawn trigger or is it only for the intro chapter?

@Lightymoon , you can use "player_first_spawn" to reset the data. This event function is triggered only once, when joining/ starting the game for the first time. So, when playing a new game/ map, the data will be reset via "player_first_spawn".

i thought about that but what if the player quited the game and started a new one, wouldn't it load the saved data from the privouse match?

or is there a way to make it reset each game but not each chapter?

@Lightymoon , if you want to save data to the next chapter, a cfg file can become one of the solutions. You only need 2 event functions to save & load data, "player_entered_checkpoint" to save data, & "round_start_post_nav" to load data on the next chapter.

i tried, the thing is when a chapter ends and a new begins, the saved data of a vscript get automatically reseted.

i'm still trying to figure out a way to transfer the data from a chapter to another safely but i couldn't make it :(

Cool mod, would it be possible to add some type of assist system for specials so if you damage them and someone finishes or steals the kill you get some sorta assist for it?
