Also another note (sorry this is turning into a blog/diary), it may also be due to the amount of songs you might choose for the menu that it cycles through.

Another update! It turns out, it may not be linked to how many presses or menus you go into at all. It may be related to time, how long you stay within the main menu itself for when it breaks. So bear this in mind when playing/setting up a game.

As a quick note: I set up my load order automatically first and when I get bugs, I begin manually setting up the load order after to see if it fixes anything. Most of my mods are simple QoL mods that help fix certain things, and only a few cosmetic/tool mods that add extra items, nothing really messing with sounds or scripts within that area. So most likely it's a sound overload issue that can be fixed with either the right load order, or by simply pre-setting up everything, loading the game after getting everything ready and saved, generating the world, exiting to desktop and then loading the save from there. Hope this helps.

An update to @HYSTERICK 's issue. I have been able to replicate this. I have turned on several main menu songs and noticed when backing out of solo, loading a game, saving options settings, saving mod settings, etc. Most things that require you to back out of certain menus - not exiting them entirely in the main menu - will bug the audio. However, if you simply enter the game with everything you want set up with a game started and you load it from there, the audio will work fine.

@HYSTERICK

Could you send me your load order?

I can not myself replicate this bug... It could be a mod incompatibility.

That's a strange bug. In the meantime you could try ensuring that the MMF and the menu mod you're using load first in the mod order. Check the default.txt file in Zomboid/mods. Also validating the game's files might help. Hope this helps.
