does this work with mods that add new starts? Or are they manually edited, in a way that a patch would be needed?

no problem!
and small note: if you have any mod that modifies those .txt files (Fancy Skies for example) you must go to this mod's folder and modify the files there
small note 2: lines with # prefix are commented; they doesn't do anything so change the ones without it

you'll have to go to gfx/worldgfx/star_b_class.txt and mess with the 'lava color' values at the bottom of the file

nope, starlight changes the way light emits from the stars and casts it onto planets, this mod just brightens up their textures

Nice! I like it, but what if I want stars bright enough to burn out my retinas? Would you perhaps consider making such a thing? ...please?
