I've been looking for good mods like this, the idea you mentioned about adding better tiers would be a very helpful idea. Good mod, looking forward to any expansions you make to the RimTek collection.

@Hykal This is bringing in Biotech, but I was thinking that the first tier uses no subcore but heals way slower, the more advanced one which is this requires a Standard subcore.

Thank you for the feedback, Hykal.

I am just getting into Rimworld modding/coding (even though I've made art/XML mods for years), so my intention with this mod was to see if I can make it at all. And I have a bunch of other concepts I want to try first.

I will do another pass to do Balance/Content update, and will consider yours and others' feedback. Potentially making stronger MKII/MKIII version with more expensive components, and making this one weaker.

@Deon

I actually think considering how advanced Auto-Docs are in Fallout, the RimTek DocMate should use Adv. Components instead of normal Components and Glitterworld meds over normal Meds. I'd even go as far to suggest that it should be locked behind Hospital Beds AND Fabrication in the Research tree. As is, this is a generously cheap machine that does a fair bit, even compared to Biotech's Paramedics.

Looking forward to see more of your mods.

> you might be able to talk to the Creator and see if they will help you with the code for the robot or item to help do surgeries might be simpler than the code they used especially if you only want it to do one surgery like a pawn would

I already checked the code, and I understand how it works. What I meant is that there's already a good optimized mod maintained by Miles that I linked in my description, no reason to duplicate and make it worse (I am a newbie in coding).

> if you stack multiple of these adjacent to a hospital bed will they stack their healing tick ability?
Yes, each of them does 1 treatment per 4.2 seconds, so 2 would do it separately.

Bionix Automator is the one that I remembered but it looks like some people are having an issue with it just straight up killing Pawns
Deon ☣  [author] 18 Jun @ 6:59am
Thank you for sharing both. It looks like that mod exists, which is different from the premise/simplicity of this one. I will link it in description.

Feel like he's probably talking about the Bionix Automater mod.

Not that guy, but I'm pretty sure he's talking about the Auto Doc mod

I want to be able to use it like Caesar in FNV :)

If you can link it, I will check it for sure.
demonking100 17 Jun @ 10:11pm
I'm not 100% certain of this but I think there is a mod that lets you get a machine that will install biotics implants in some other things
Deon ☣  [author] 17 Jun @ 10:28am
Yeah, that is what I imagine, but it would require a full custom code. Right now it's a simple check "if there's a hurt pawn in bed in 1 tile radius, patch a random injury every rare tick", nothing fancy :).

Not sure what the code would look like but a auto doc for surgeries

Could have it so the pawn enters it and then you can select what surgeries you want done

So like you can pick XYZ opiration and someone else has to load of medicine and any new limbs.

Hell could have a option to take apart a pawn so you get arms, legs, organs, some human meat and skin (could have a speed mode, if it goes slowly you'll get more/get higher medical results but you could pick a fast mode that might cause some issues)
Deon ☣  [author] 17 Jun @ 1:25am
This uses quite a basic code, so no surgeries. I will eventually look into coding something that can be a surgeon, but it also needs to have ability to use items/implants then, and I will only dare to do it once I learn coding better.
BigCat 16 Jun @ 9:20pm
Now if only this also did surgeries id finally get to try a true solo mechinator play thru, I have been trying to find a way to automatically remove a cortical stack from the Altered Carbon mod from a corpse and transplant it into another body without needing another pawn to do so, but this is a great step towards more solo focused runs
Deon ☣  [author] 16 Jun @ 6:40am
I'm glad I was not the only one looking for it. I decided to try to code it in myself, so enjoy :).
Нубас 16 Jun @ 6:13am
holy shit I wanted an easy and non OP autodoc mod for so long. Finally I don't need a doctor to tend my pawn who got bit a single time by a mad guinea pig
