Thank you sir, this is exactly the sort of filler block I need on many of my ship interiors. And it's sure to have a lower triangle count. Much appreciated!
So, I have some good news and some bad news:
The good news: I'm at home now, so I can start working on mod related stuff.
The bad news: I also procceded to get sick, so been too tired to work on modding. :S
And to salt the wounds, my primary computers OS decided to crash, corrupting half of the primary HD. So been dealing with trying to fix that, but it looks like there is no other choice than reformating.
Added a to-do list in the description so you guys can see what's planned, and if you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment :)
Also, Steam's been iffy with updating mods on workshop, so when I finally get around updating this it'll probably place itself as a new mod :/
So yeah, that's what's happening.
(If someone knows a workaround to the Workshop issue, or if I'm just blind and have missed something, can you please point me in the right direction?)
Need suggestions for variants, just ask. Ones I use:
1 top texture + 5 bottom's (that just sounds wrong...)
1 top, 1 side (for when you do want one of those lovely interiors sides showing), rest bottoms.
I'll probably end up doing several different variants when I'm back home.
So an ETA would possibly be sometime after the 5th of January.
In any case, I've cut thousands of tris from my build, almost doubling the framerate! All stemming from this. Nice work indeed!
I'm abroad over new years, but I'll considering doing it when I'm back home.
Only way I can think to improve this would be to use the upper texture as well. Two 'Bottoms' on opposing sides, two top the same, and the last ones set up just like the standard IW
