But
I researched the technology "advanced barracks construction" but i can't even select the 4th level. the onlòy thing that appears is the convert/Dismantle button
To fix if, try below:
1. Launch the Game – Start Total War: Rome II
2. Open Task Manager
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Alternatively, you can right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager.
3. Go to the Details Tab
In Task Manager, click on the Details tab at the top.
Look for rome2.exe in the list of running processes.
4. Set CPU Affinity
Right-click rome2.exe and select Set Affinity from the dropdown menu.
5. Unselect Some CPU Cores
A window will appear showing which CPU cores the game is using.
Uncheck a few cores (for example, if you have 6 cores, uncheck CPU 9 to 11).
Click OK to apply the changes.
6. Resume the Game
This fix can be applied even if game already froze.
Then verify game files.
You can also try to download the mod from our website, its in 2 parts there and has 2-3 times faster load times.
I also got a pop up thanking me for buying DLC but at least nothing was disabled.
Steam does not store mods in efficient way while manually downloaded mods are placed in the game directory.
Nothing will be changed in that regard but you, as a player, can improve it. E.g. even my previous PC from 2015 could run it at stable 45 FPS on ultra unit size with 2v2 battle, my current 4 year old PC runs it at 60 FPS in 2v2 on ultra.
Even stuff like manually installing the mod from our website can make it run better, becaue Steam workshops does not store mods in efficient manner, e.g. manually installed DeI has 2-3 times shorter load times.
You can visit Discord to get some more tips.
There are of course always some odd hardware configs where people even with great PC or same PCs have completly different performance.
hi , the mod runs horribly bad (battles fps )
even Attila runs far better :D
Rome 2 extreme benchmark is 120 fps
2 vs 2
in the hottest spot 65 fps
with Dei
even before clashing in battle 2 vs 2
medium unit sizes
60 fps
when clash starts drops to 35 !!!

Now if the above doesnt work, Chipset Drivers & GPU Drivers, ensure all are up to date. Then ensure all .NET and legacy .NET are installed - done via Windows Update and Control Panel\Program & Features\Enable or Disable Windows Features.
My version of Win11: Windows 11 Pro N 24H2
I cant play rome 2 without your work, its truly the best and far surpasses other mods. I think i must have about 1500 + hours in the game purely using it.
P.S any chance of Pyrrhus reskin please?
I have just tried your workaround and so far so good ! Thanks for your quick response.
