Yeah, I had my 5 minutes in modding. I should erase this WiP sentence, but who knows, maybe 1 day I'll do something more. For now Workshop is fullfilled with mods.

I'd increase the velocity by about 250 m/s across the board. The accuracy and range are good. I'll have to check the damage to RoF ratio to see where those could go. But good work so far!

No need to duplicate something that already exists. As I said I'll check this matter, but since I'm not playing this game I have no idea how bad ass should it be.

Oh and, how expensive do you think can 20mm round be?

Just a suggestion, but you could always put out a 2nd version, that was more in line for Multiplayer / Survival. Our server could use a Flak gun, to better deal with small fast moving craft. The 20mm small could be a candidate, if it wasn't too crazy and making the ammo had some cost.

What are you talking about, what exactly is your problem?

They all have their own icons which says if its 20mm, 30mm or 50mm gun/ammo.

Try using only this mod if you have problems finding right ammo for the right gun :|

Although icons have same background and same letter type/character on them, even with exact name of the item they're assigned to. So why can't you recognize them?

There is only 1 type of ammunition - AP.
They all share same magazine model, although they have different callibers and sizes.
So.. it's logic I think.

What do you mean? Collision models and construction models? If yes, then short answer: I'm not working on them and I don't know when I'll get to them.

I may tweak cost of the guns, ammo and maybe add some better icons in the near future, but for now I have onther things, that I'm working on.

Well.. as you know or you don't they were reloaded manually, although I thought it would be a pain in the ass for some people, so that's why it has 2 conveyor ports.

As I already said I'm not playing the game from few months now - you're my ears and eyes.

EDIT:

I have checked your problem in survival mode, none of it exist on my PC. Unable to help you.
Try restarting your world or the game itself. And make sure you're using right type of ammunition ;)

I can't seem to figure out how to auto-reload ammo for my 30 mm flaks in survival mode. So I tested in creative mode.

I have created ammo for my small ship 30 mm flak. In the ship inventory menu, I am unable to place the ammo in any small containers or the weapons, but it does allow me to place the ammo in my medium container. However, I AM able to place ammo in the weapon directly.

Is this intentional? Are we not suppose to steadily feed ammo?

I have encountered a problem that they cause massive lag when put on. Not sure if it is an optimizing issue or what just thought i would throw that out there in hopes of it running better. although i do love the damage they produce.

They are to be connected from the back, not from the sides - you can see this on the pictures above, in the gallery.

Or do you mean that the model offset has been broken by a magic force or an update?

Awesome mod really useful when taking on military transports and stuff xD. However i couldnt help but notice the guns dont acctually connect (vissually) to the ship.

Since it's just a gatling gun type model, it doesn't explode like rockets. That's why I've putted there AP magazine, so it won't be too ridiculus.

But it's the idea, may try adding it one day.

Does the ammo actually detonate at a specific range or in proximity to ship grids, like real flak ammunition?

nice! love the whole flak concept also i have been stuck making turrets as of late, but i was wondering if you could dial down the recoil a bit? seems a bit excessive especialy when you make small turrets

For now I'm focused on 2 World War weponry, I'm getting expierience through making mods like those, it motivates me additionaly because I like that era :)

I'm learning how to make a working turret and testing my prototype as we speak :D

Once I'll "master" way of doing things I will be able to create many things, for now I know how to make weapons for ships. Turrets are next :D Then more things like tank visiers - cameras, hatches, and finally tank tracks. :)

But it's just my fantasy, I could create any weapon I think. Making custom effects for them is another topic for now :P

Flamethrower and World Eater are on my minds, dunno why though ;)

Hey quick question, how do you mount a large ship weapon on a small ship ( i know the its the rotor thing but i cant figure it out my self), also just want to say i love your mods and was wondering what else in weapoery are you going to make? keep up the awsome work man.

I don't think so, it's caliber isn't mine idea, it's what it originally was in history (Flak 38 20mm) I've just added 30mm and double 50mm so this can be used by more players and with wider variety of designs.

I was thinking of making a real caliber 128mm pak 44 version of my mod (they are currently way way bigger than 128mm). So it is possible that I'll make it in the near future.

That's not a dual .50 caliber, it's in millimeters. That's two five-centimeter guns there. In fact, ALL of these guns are in millimeters.

Come to think of it, that large AA duo would be the perfect for the nose turret on a battlecruiser...
