Can you make this for the counter attack sound?
The Loan Ranger  [author] 18 Apr, 2017 @ 8:27am
Not a clue, its been a while since I messed around with insurgency mods. What you can do to find out is to download a VPK unpacker (just check the most popular community guides on how to mod insurgency for the program) and go through a downloaded copy of this mod. File names and paths should be exactly the same.

What file are you replacing for Last Man Alive sounds? I can't find it anywhere in the VPKs....
The Loan Ranger  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 10:55am
It should, it doesn't modify the same files.

will this stack with *tunak counter attack* soundmod?
The Loan Ranger  [author] 17 Apr, 2016 @ 4:20pm
Awe man and I don't have the original file anymore. That's a bummer. Well Imagine a heartbeat that slowly picks up pace over the course of 30 seconds.

@Raider Just realized I made this back in January. I need to make a bunch of mods over the weekend and release some high quality stuff.
Raider 29 Sep, 2015 @ 8:40pm
This is a really cool, simple, unique mod. Nice work man.

It's like someone's recording and playing the sound of my chest in real time.
Alizarin 30 Jan, 2015 @ 6:52pm
nvm i am jus being total retard and didn try snd-res
Alizarin 30 Jan, 2015 @ 6:44pm
the vanilla game music
Alizarin 30 Jan, 2015 @ 6:44pm
it sounds like a little part of music and the beating mixed up into one
The Loan Ranger  [author] 30 Jan, 2015 @ 5:42pm
@Andywuhu my mod doesn't have any music. What you see is what you get. What you're hearing is either stock music from the game or another addon you have. Mine includes only the heartbeat.
Alizarin 30 Jan, 2015 @ 5:31pm
pls remove music
The Loan Ranger  [author] 27 Jan, 2015 @ 5:09pm
@Sharpshot Sid Only if I can get back on the first page of the workshop ;)
Sharpshot Sid 27 Jan, 2015 @ 2:27pm
@The Loan Ranger Yeah I know. Thats why the "Which is most likely never" remark at the end. Looking forward to the static pased heartbeat though
The Loan Ranger  [author] 27 Jan, 2015 @ 2:16pm
@Sharpshot Sid I can't make it dynamic ever because it's tied to a sound trigger. The audio that normally plays to notify you that you're the last alive has been replaced with the audio of the heartbeat. I'll search around for a static one to release sometime this weekend.
Sharpshot Sid 27 Jan, 2015 @ 7:25am
I think a static heartbeat would work better. Untill you can actually make it more dynamic that it only beats faster when the situation would realistically portray such.

Having a rapid heartbeat when there is literally no one around is immersion breaking, but same could be said about a "calm" heartbeat when you're last man standing and taking fire. So yeah. My personal preference is static untill this can be made dynamic(Which will most likely be never)
♡ TF2 Hat Collector ♡ 25 Jan, 2015 @ 1:50am
I don't need this because I have my own heartbeat :D
Anthony Banthony, D-MA 24 Jan, 2015 @ 9:30am
I guess their study doesn't apply to everyone. I certainly don't notice it when I'm LMS and defending from a counter-attack. I just don't want a constantly speeding beat in my ear for a situation that might not even be as dire as it is. The fact I could hear my heart beating in a situation like this alone would alert me to the fact I'm in deep shit, but at speeds like that, it's more distracting than immersive.
The Loan Ranger  [author] 24 Jan, 2015 @ 8:47am
However if you want me to make one that has a static heartbeat I can do that.
The Loan Ranger  [author] 24 Jan, 2015 @ 8:43am
The comparison is perfectly justified. The game is realistic and designed to pull you into the experience. Every sound and every action is designed to mimic combat as close as they could get being limited on the source engine. A study by Stockholm University Stress Research Institute finds that heart rate is increased among males while playing violent games such as insurgency. It would seem to reason that in a more stressful situation in the game your heart rate would acclerate to provide faster reaction times. Either you play casually or you don't notice your heartrate accelerating while you play. Buy a watch with a heartrate monitor on it, you'll be surprised.
Anthony Banthony, D-MA 24 Jan, 2015 @ 8:09am
No, my heart doesn't race because if I die, we have about four more chances to do it again and making a comparison like that is bad because it's just a videogame.
The Loan Ranger  [author] 24 Jan, 2015 @ 8:07am
It's supposed to be immersive in the sense that you're by yourself and panicking. Tell me your heart doesn't race when you're alone ingame and several people are after you.
Anthony Banthony, D-MA 24 Jan, 2015 @ 8:02am
It'd be nice if it didn't speed up towards the end, just hearing the heartbeat is enough, a constantly speeding up beat is annoying.
The Loan Ranger  [author] 23 Jan, 2015 @ 6:12pm
@Secret Asian Man for requests please follow the instructions under "requests" and I could do gun handling sounds but I have no experience with them. It all depends on how the audio is broken up in insurgency and from your source.
Punchydroid 神秘男人 23 Jan, 2015 @ 6:09pm
I'm not sure if you take requests, but I would love to see a sound addon, replacing the menu music into "The Military System" from Metal Slug 7.

I would like also the gun firing sounds changed as well as the handling sounds changed with MS7 sounds.

But I don't want to ask too much of you. Because I'm sure you creators have a busy schedule and what-not. Either way, I would be grateful.
