@#CatLady - This mod works with any mod that changes any of the player house interiors. When you first enter the modded house you may notice that the trapdoor to the basement is hovering in an odd location, but you can simply deactivate that trapdoor from the menu inside the basement (The menu is a book on a table). Then you can place a custom trapdoor inside your modded house wherever you like (The custom trapdoor is a spell that is also on a table in the basement).

@dafyd11 - Oh sorry! I had the wrong mod in mind. Its just to your left and in front of you when you zone in. its an open book on the table

When i zone in, I'm facing the wall with ore/metal bars - it looks like the 2nd & 3rd screen shots shown above. I think I've looked everywhere. Even for invisible books on the various tables.

When you zone into the basement walk directly forward, its a book in the table directly in front of you

Haha I just figured that out and went back to test it. I filled grand and greater gems with the correct size soul and they went up on the shelf, no problem. I came back to say such and there you are. No worries now :)

This is a problem with base Skyrim. If you fill an empty soulgem with a soul smaller then the gem (Grand soul gem(Petty) for instance), dropping the soul gem will wipe the soul out of it.

Unfortunately there is no way around this problem without my forcing everyone to install a script extender.

The options menu in the basement lets you turn off filled soul gem sorting, id recommend using that if youd prefer not to have the gems wiped.

This mod is a dream. Though I have encountered the same problem as others where filled soul gems are being emptied if I stock them. That's rather frustrating. Other than that, I love it!

I think this mod is great, but now I have a problem! Once it worked well, but now shelves are empty and even if I choose to stock them, nothing happens! They're always empty and I don't know what to do!

@NightEyes - This problem is due to an original failure on bethesda's part. If you try dropping the same soul gems on the floor and picking them up, youll find that this also wipes the souls out of the gems.

The in-mod menu has a setting that turns off soul gem sorting. You can find the menu via a book inside the basement.

Seems to have a gklitch on newer patches where auto-depositing filled soul gems wipes them to unfilled versions. Very annoying to go soul farming, come back, and then lose all the souls

Only issues I see (using no other house mods) The forge faces backward in the room, so that on entering and using the forge, it puts your back to the wall, with the forge between you and the door. This makes the grindstone, tannign rack, and workbench to your now right, so you have to climb over the anvil to go that direction. If posible, better orientation would be to place the forge facing into a corner, with smelter in the other corner. Other then that, great mod, expecially for the 'Auto-deposit' feature to pull all the stuff out of my bags

@Blunt.....would it be possible for you to include the "build your own Trapdoor" spell for those that either DONT HAVE all 3 DLC's or are using custom houses?....I have all 3 DLC's but am considering removing one ( Dragonborn) when I restart my gane yet again (siigh).

Its possible that the trapdoor will be in an odd place if you use a house mod, you can fix this within the mod however.

The options book inside the basement lets you turn off pre-existing trapdoors, and a spellbook (also in the basement) lets you place custom trapdoors.

Does this conflict with house mods? Like im using a vindrel hall house mod. Will this conflict with it?

@esan6 - This most commonly occurs when the mod turns itself off in your data files for whatever reason (steam updates seem to cause this to some people). If you load a save game with the mod turned off, anything thats stored in the basement will cease to exist.

If you notice this happening, turn the mod back on, and load a save game from before when you first noticed the basement missing.

This mod was great when I first got it. I did have a glitch where I could not build a room off to the side of the house. not a big deal. But then the mod stopped working and I lost all the items I had stored. Tons of stuff.

@ B-day - The basement won't appear there automatically in this version of the mod. You can however use the spellbook in the basement to set your own custom trapdoors. That will let you place a trapdoor wherever you like in Lakeview

@lightanddark13 - thats an issue with steam. Assuming youve actually clicked subscribe, it should download when the launcher is up, if thats not happening, your having connection issues. If it doesn't fix after a few tries, download it manually from here - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62303/? .

@darlinux - No, you can still buy it. If your at breezehome, the trapdoor is already there (check under the ladder). If your at any of the other 4 main towns, you can buy the basement from the steward

@darlinux - The vanilla version also supports players who have some, but not all of the DLC. The only problem is that it won't sort the 1 or 2 items that dawnguard brings (bone hawk feathers and bone hawk skulls)

@Halen78 - they will be deleted, be sure to pick up every item in the basement and move them to a container in your player house first.

@kinh - all items in your house are safe, my mod does not remove any containers within houses (although it moves 1 or 2 barrels to slightly different places inside the houses)

@Bluntaxe, this is a crazy question, but how on earth did you manage to script everything? I'm so in love with this and your library mod that I want to do something similar with weapons, armor, and mannequins, but I have no idea where to start in the CreationKit. I'm a flat-out beginner, but the functionality of this and the library has got me fired up, haha. I'm so sorry if you've already answered this elsewhere, and thanks for being awesome :D

UPDATE - I am NOT intending on changing this to a paid mod. Everything currently available under this mod will remain free. I will be releasing a paid mod in future that incorporates this mod, blacksmiths basement, and further updated features. I do still intend to release a patch for this mod that will also be free

It should simply be in breezeholme, there are 1 of 2 problems happening here.

Firstly, its not an actual basement that appears in the breezeholme, its a trapdoor that appears under the step ladder and loads a new room.

If you still can't find it, its probably not turned on in your data files. Run the skyrim launcher, click data files, and make sure this mod is turned on

@Bluntaxe Do I need to start over for it to take effect? In my current playthrough the mod isn't there
