Seris, I found that Simple Energy Shield V2 has a glaring issue: The player spawns without their playermodel when they first join the server and it seems to be suffering a bug with its code.

If you decompile the mod, the voices are still there, just unused. If you want you can rename the files to be the used ones and just load the local mod.

Hai. I need some help.
I used to play this mod along side the addon that made the HEV shield stop all the damage before breaking (Basically secondary HP bar). I can no longer find it.
Used to play with it last year, so It's not some prehistoric Gmod addon

@DED It is passed my skill level to give players separate settings for energy shielding (in other words everyone is subject to the same max and regen etc) if thats what your asking

@seamus i was simply wondering if he forgot to set the ses value to what he wanted, if he didnt and he had another addon raising his health past 100 any damage would take it down to 100, at least in my experience. was trying to help not be helped lol.

@Abaddon the Unholy you have 2 choices, either decompile and mod the code yourself, or go to my profile and download my version of the mod which saves cvars

@seamus and Wizrat do you guys have any other mods that increase your health at all? also is it always going to 100? if so you have to manually set the ses each match as it doesnt save.

When i ADS in ArcCW and the shield flares, it fucks me.

@Wizrat yes for some reason this mod does that. im working on fixing that in my version of this mod but I dont understand how its doing that yet

yeah genuine question does this mod cause height damage to be insanely high for anyone else? ever since using it the slightest height deals more than half my health even with no other addons on at the time

I think if there is no response by the end of tomorrow ill assume he doesnt care and upload by version that has some fixes

@C4House you need to trigger the recharge sequence by getting damaged before you will recharge to max

So is this officially out of date and no longer working? I tried to set the armor health to 100, just tried about everything that I can do but nothing seems to work. Are you done making mods and you are no longer going to update this?

Hi, sorry for commenting yet again but I would like to ask something. I fixed the bug with over charging shields and added halo 5 sounds, I'm thinking of adding even more features when I get a better understanding of the code. I would like to upload it but I would like to be respectful of your work, so I'm asking here if I can upload a modded version of the addon when I'm doing with it. I completely understand if you don't want me to. Have a nice day. (ps: I'm still gonna make the mod for myself but if you don't want me to, I wont upload it)

oh also: after line 146 in shield.lua in the server folder:
put this code to add my suggestion about the fix for going over the max:

if ply:Armor() > max_armor then
ply:SetArmor(max_armor)
end

this was tested by decompiling your mod via gmad.exe and doing it myself and it works!

is there a way you could make the recharge delay variable instead of just 8 seconds?
also could you fix it so the shield stops charging a little past the max?

Does the addon Have an options That allow You to deactivate or activate it for a job ?
If not i would like to know if will do it in the future ?

It allows you to change how strong / how much resistance the shield has aswell.

@Zacti I believe he's still been working on this, and simply hasn't made it public yet. Personally, I can't wait to see it.

All the other addons i've found that are similar either have no ability to limit its usaged to certain players/jobs or be busted in some way.

@Vergil are there any addons similar to this that add a "Spartan-esque" shield? I've tried the Spartan Halo shield from Stan but it has had issues for a while and he seems to ignore any bug complaints

But does the armor regen mod prevent health damage until armor is gone? I think that may be what drew people to this mod
