Not until I get the game of a sale or something (aka. not soon). Anyone who wants update the mod is welcome to do so as long I get the credits for original mod. ^^

Hey Shocky. If you're still looking into adding building quests, I've just released a mod that makes the process relatively painless as well as compatible with mods who also add building quests.

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=422549543

Hopefully it's a useful resource for you.

Did this on my Addition mod package, most recent edition I know at least got it.

You should change the 5% food and production bonus to a 10-15% production boost to naval units, would be like the repair facility for carriers and gunboats
Shocky  [author] 28 Feb, 2015 @ 6:29pm
Thanks :)
Venusaisha 28 Feb, 2015 @ 6:25pm

Venusaisha 28 Feb, 2015 @ 6:18pm
ya thou down fall is some games won't play on win 8 or 8.1. like unreal went from windows 95 all way to windows 7. alot companies including ipad ones won't buy win 8 cause it fail on that ipad part. the scam with microsoft windows 8.1 had all missing parts that windows 8 was missing, yet why make some people pay up to 200$ just to update.

i did not pick this computer all in one. aim to get new comupter with win 10, 2 hard drives of 2tb, 2 dibb adaptor for memory, intel i7 or better processor
Shocky  [author] 28 Feb, 2015 @ 5:50pm
I actually only changed away from win 7 to 8.1 because my oldest brother bitched, moaned and whined over win 7 was getting old and win 8 have a new DX. Did I notice a major difference? nope
Venusaisha 28 Feb, 2015 @ 2:52pm
window xp, win 7 i using yet no problems. wins 8 is the burning hate they say, windows 9 will never exist, windows ten is suppose to be like a holy grail that will fix microsoft years of pain and their stupiditity.

eight: is the burning hate, between monday and tuesday hangs a day so bright like workers bad day as they howl at the moon. moon=monday, then u wonder why alot people hate mondays. know ur number mythology lol

Yes, I did find that location. What Steam is doing is saving the files to some weird directory on its own. I know where to look for them now though. So it is downloading them now.
Thanks!

C:\Users\"User name"\Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\MODS

This is how it looks like with me on win 8, even if I don't store my games on C hdd. So I guess it should be the same with everyone, with minor variation in documents structure from one windows to another.
terror.and.love 27 Feb, 2015 @ 7:23pm
Hey Shocky I think I figured out what the problem is. Steam isnt putting the mods in a folder related to the game. Its saving them in some weird temp files hidden in my comp
Shocky  [author] 27 Feb, 2015 @ 4:59pm
Np, I already been using nexusmods for quite some time anyway so picked them out of laziness, just surprised they were so slow on accepting request for opening up for a new game, considering how busy the site is regarding the elder scrolls and fallout games.
terror.and.love 27 Feb, 2015 @ 4:52pm
Thank you Shocky.

I am sorry you had to go to this hassle I have tried some of the things I found. It still wont download them from Steam.
Shocky  [author] 26 Feb, 2015 @ 5:54am
@ terror.and.love
I had to add Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth to games category on nexusmods.com , if everything goes smoothly I can add mods there as direct download mirror. (They need to approve it first)
I think civ mods are small enough that you don't need an account to download hence why I selected them.
terror.and.love 25 Feb, 2015 @ 7:11pm
Is there a way to download this directly? I can not get Steam to download any mods I subscribe to.
DarkFire 25 Feb, 2015 @ 10:55am
Very Nice Shocky. The update is very well thought out. Thanks for a cool mod.
Shocky  [author] 23 Feb, 2015 @ 1:50am
Good to read that people like the change, thanks for feedback again. :)
Luisomar_85 22 Feb, 2015 @ 1:49am
Nice, i also was worried about the easy 8 health building at start of game. Now with Geotermal req, you cant have enough of em to forget about health. Now its feels more fair :D.
Venusaisha 21 Feb, 2015 @ 5:27am
awesome
Shocky  [author] 20 Feb, 2015 @ 4:06am
New version up, I didn't make it a Geothermal resource nearby requirement, so that factions starting on top of them don't get a too large advantage.
DarkFire 19 Feb, 2015 @ 5:26pm
For such an awesome benefit you could justify needing Geothermal to power it. Also, you could rationalize using an alternate geothermal pipeline (going the other way) to pump the waste to the planet's core where the immense heat would get rid of it for you. Perhaps 5-6 Energy for +6-8 Health and a geothermal req.?
Joko 19 Feb, 2015 @ 3:35pm
No problem, ill modify it from my side to make it fit my play style. :) In that way you dont have to worry about it unless many more people ask you to ;)
Shocky  [author] 19 Feb, 2015 @ 2:42pm
Thanks joko! Anyway I will wait and see what others think is the best way of balancing, before I do anything more.
Joko 19 Feb, 2015 @ 12:57pm
Whatever you feel is the best my friend :) I Love buildings, i download almost every buildings mod out there, exept those with an unfair advantage against AI or OP status. Since i look to play a challenging game and not an easy one. I am pretty sure many think like me. If you set a limit to how many can be build or even move it deeper in the tech tree, then it wont feel as OP as it feels now. But once again is from my personal point of view and i cant speak for the whole community.

But you have done a really good job with the mod itself. You have my Thumb up :D
Shocky  [author] 19 Feb, 2015 @ 12:40pm
Ai can build all these buildings and will do so when it fits their priorities.

There is a stat where I can set a limit for the Pollution Processor for example “3”, but it will gain wonders benefits like 15% increased wonder building speed from virtues among other things. You can see this in effect on spy buildings.
Joko 19 Feb, 2015 @ 9:30am
well if is option A that will control the amount people can build right of the hat. That would be the best option. Also another question, can AI build this buildings too?
Shocky  [author] 18 Feb, 2015 @ 10:49pm
Dunno what's up with pictures, only tip I can bring is to have steam window maximised for easier reading. :P

Regarding Pollution Processor, I sort of wanted a building that everyone cud get (dropped the geothermal requirement I used to have), but would be very expensive to spam in every city. Guess 5 energy ain't enough for that effect. ^^

What would you guys think is fair, 8 maintenance for 8 health and/or a geothermal requirement back? Or 5 health for 5 mainenance?
DarkFire 18 Feb, 2015 @ 9:32pm
All pretty cool; I agree with Rod_j +8 Health is a BIT much for anything other than a Wonder. But I still love the new options. Thanks.
Venusaisha 18 Feb, 2015 @ 7:58pm
overpowered some may think, but better to have the higher power just incase. besides more buildings is equal to more options. :Diplomat:
Joko 18 Feb, 2015 @ 1:24pm
I see the pics now :P

The buildings are nice, i only have 1 feed back. Dont you think that adding a building that give +8 health is op? a city produces only 4 negative health and .25 per population, plus you can reduce the negative health by 15% with virtue and increase the positive. That should be a wonder that can only be built once and not a building that you can build in every city. Otherwise you will never struggle with health problems... Making the game a lot easier.

(Just my humble oppinion)
Joko 18 Feb, 2015 @ 12:32pm
For some reason the pictures doesnt show in my computer, does anyone have the same problem?
jsnider193 18 Feb, 2015 @ 12:29pm
Ah pix don't seem very clear above?
