Sad that this mod doesn't work right now, but there's now a workaround: piston with an inset light block on top, then put a button panel on it, and build it up with armor panels around it. You can have the door be part of the floor and just leave it open in front as it goes up and down. The inset light gives you light inside, and the elevator shaft can be airlocked if you want.

Very sad what this mod wasn't supported now((( It's great thing, but not working correctly in actual game version. This work awesome!

I have a need for such an elevsator cabin. But here some questions and sugegstions:
- Cabin doors should be full tranparent or have glass windows on the upper area.
- Needed is a cabin that has doors on three sides.
- Can I attach any other blocks to the cabin side with the door (like a cockpit) that then also will move with the cabin?
- Does the cabin has to be mounted on a piston to make it functioning?
- How to control maximum and minimum?

A great mod. Unfortunately, Half the time I try to use my elevator, the piston explodes. Even after their 'physics update'. When the day comes that Keen can make a piston with less C4 in it, I will resub. Dropping this mod until them, lest I be tempted to build an elevator again.

Also, would like the music to be optional. The music is nice, but gets annoying when you have a hallway with 2-3 elevators in it.

@HolyPhoenix: Try removing blocks around it and if it gets destroyed after you replace them and move the piston away, replace them with blast door edges.

@Sandiersfnix: I've heard about an overadvertised script doing something like that a few months ago, I'll try to find it and if I do, I'll post a link.

@The Witch no need to remove it, maybe some prefer the simpler look :D btw the Cabin is now updated but is not fully synced in mp (i'm working on it), i accidently uploaded to this mod instead of a test version lol

@cadain most blocks will collide with the walls of a 1x1 hole use a pillar or something maybe to make that gap

ok, dumb question, does the piston and the cabin have to be connected... like if theres a one block gap, will it cause an entire area to explodewhen you thry and push the cabin up?... cuase...thats what kinda happened lol

Officially my new favourite mod.
I hope Marek & co look at the mods because this should really be built into spengies by default.

(It's kind of ironic how every astronaut has a jetpack and yet loads of people want elevators)

Just an FYI, thanks to Keen changing pistons so they're just over 2 blocks high a few patches ago, you need to set your max total piston extension to approximately .4 meters below the max intended length.

@Silenvo this will be possible when they release the Combined Block feature, its not possible yet because every Block can only be of one type (i.e. Either a Button or a Light but not both at the same time)

I doubt this will be read or responded to, but I have one request: A mounted Interior light.

I plopped this into place and was all ready to make immediate use of it, when I realized it didn't have any interior lighting... In a dark world you'd probably understand why thats a problem. Thats all I really want from this mod... An interior light in the cabin. Its perfect otherwise in my eyes.
