That is correct, L4D2 has only one reload animation for the shotguns which is you always recocking the weapon, still strange not to have two animations since there is for the pistols but I guess that was a compromise since L4D1 didn't have two animations for the pistols only the one as the cocking animation was sadly cut but still can be seen via glitches or mods.
I'm not a modder or coder but this seems logical.
if i remember correctly. the L4D1 auto shotgun had an EMPTY reload animation... this one does not.
may i ask why? i still love this animation, but I'm just curious as to why the empty reload animation is the exact same as the none empty reload. were there bugs?
I felt as a result it was okay to skip it. You just gotta know where the find the work others have done.
