@andrewwoodall, please add this solar panel to standart "power" category!
DarkSlayerEX 11 Nov, 2015 @ 6:03am
I am honestly a little surprised there isn't a small-ship variant of this excellent solar panel. I would like to request one.

I dindnt rebuilded the .mwm files. Its really simple just added the new Mount Points to the SolarPanelEncased.sbc thats all. Im not a moder im more like a Modtweaker. So i think this file is what you cal the xml. I did the relationt to the textures and also changed the sub-Id so everything looked fine. i also leaved to test everything like it was excepting the Mountpoints to keep the paths like original, so i dont know :) if you could explain me a bit more about the xml i can do it maybe. but how u see i think it should work
Odaf  [author] 26 Aug, 2015 @ 11:01am
Moving the model and/or mount points shouldn't affect the textures. It's usually something to do with the references of the textures in the model not matching the xml.

I'm guessing you rebuilt the mwm file but maybe don't have the texture xml to go with it. Since I used Keens model, you can use the xml file that comes in their ModSDK for the regular solar panel. I didn't change any materials, I just added the new edges using the same materials.

I think i have to reasing the Materials/textures to the model maybe becose i forcemoved the Position of the Model changing the Mount points ? maybe you can help me or share your fbx file. Dont knwo how to solve this
Egg 26 Aug, 2015 @ 6:46am

Egg 26 Aug, 2015 @ 6:02am

So there would be the 10x Version Done by someone. I will take a look in the next days if i can Center this 2 Mods and Make a Modpack. Its not really in my INteresst to Publish it so if you like you can repulish it :) i jsut want use your nice Solarpannel =) <3
Odaf  [author] 25 Aug, 2015 @ 8:42pm
@Egg Hi, yes, you may include it a mod pack. I missed a word in my previous response which would've made it understandable. So yes, feel free to put into a modpack.
Also, I would happily look at a centered version and maybe a 10x one, but I've just been really busy lately so would need to find time. If I haven't got it done by the time you really want to use it, then feel free to use my mod to create them.
Anyway, glad you like hte mod and I'll put DX11 in the nane as suggested for clarity.
Egg 25 Aug, 2015 @ 5:03pm
Btw if you add DX11 support to the Name of the Mod it makes easyier for people who clean up theyr Modlist =) i was next to kill your Mod but becose its to nice i got here to read again an saw it is (bles you) Dx11 ready <3 :,)
Egg 25 Aug, 2015 @ 4:59pm
Hm my English isnt that good. But how i understand you i cant use it in a Modpack otherwise tis ok ebcose i stopped to Mod for the Moment since the game is changing alot and i have no time to elarn everythign multiple times. but If u woudl ahve time it would be nice if you do a Version with 10x more Power and also a centered Version. If not and i get your Permission i would try it on a later Point if it is of Interesst
Odaf  [author] 21 Jul, 2015 @ 11:15am
Sorry, I didn't realise @Egg asked if he could re-use this mod in a pack. That's by me to use it in a mod pack or whatnot. I just added a frame to the vanilla solar panel, so there's not much custom stuff done to it.
PumpkinKing72 20 Jul, 2015 @ 11:33am
@ Egg, I don't know about others but I would love that "this mod mixed with greater power"!! Sound like what I am looking for.

Update ?
Egg 24 May, 2015 @ 10:39am
And the Mod is Running now.
Egg 24 May, 2015 @ 10:38am
Hi thank you for your help and also for your Mod =). I found also a Power Solar panel with 10x more Power and 10x components cost. So i mixed your Mod with this one and Centered Solar panels Mod. Im using it for my own server and its not public. But if you and the Others involved Moders Agree i would do a Publish a Modpack.
Odaf  [author] 24 May, 2015 @ 8:47am
What isn't working? I'm currently using it on my dedicated server with no issues.

You could try deleting the mod file (403255496.sbm) from your system running the DS and letting the game re-download it. That's fixed some issues I've have with other mods in the past.
Egg 23 May, 2015 @ 8:08pm
for some reason it works on my own Pc and but not on my Dedicated server oO

I've made a couple ships that've had solid solar panels on the top or sides already and this has been a major concern for me. Maybe not major, but at the very least a significant annoyance. This ought to look considerably prettier, and with the durability updates hold up to flying bits of stuff! Thanks!
Vivia (shi/hir) ☣ 11 Mar, 2015 @ 7:35pm
yay *feels useful* =D
Odaf  [author] 11 Mar, 2015 @ 12:29pm
@Rinley I could look at doing that, it never crossed my mind.

I just wanted something to suit my needs aesthetically so I didn't change anything except the looks. It makes sense that it would be a little more durable with the extra surrounding framework.
Vivia (shi/hir) ☣ 10 Mar, 2015 @ 11:19pm
Looks great! But it'd be really nice if they were a bit more durable.
Leif The Head 8 Mar, 2015 @ 7:14am
Stumbled once again over that problem yesterday, and somebody has a solution. Nice :D
Barkaway 7 Mar, 2015 @ 3:49pm
It doesnt really do much, but it makes the solar panels look a bit more sturdy which is nice:)
Odaf  [author] 7 Mar, 2015 @ 9:24am
Thank you! I'm glad somebody else has a use for it :)
Demonocolips 7 Mar, 2015 @ 8:50am
simple and useful
