dude, i've been looking everywhere for this cosmetic for scout and there's no scout version anywhere. i've ported ALL of the modern TF2 files over and NOTHING changed.

Steam Client, Software Library, Right Click on Source Filmmaker, Launch SDK. Or launch from the client and select Launch SDK from the pop up.

Then you're maybe still finding the origin VTF or you're not painting properly.

Whenever I try to paint it, the colored parts just turn into an extremely dark version of their original color :sad_creep:

It zeros just like any other misc item These are just textures anyway, the model is the original model

By spawning it, giving it an override materials, sending it through to the element editor and painting the material you want black using the color swatch (just like any other paintable item.)

If you're trying to add something that is not included in the SFM version of TF2 Items then it is not going to exist in the add TF items selection.

Have you looked in the discussion area for topics or how to extract game content, or looked in the guides section for guides on how to extract game content. I'm not going to list the process in a chat on in my material descriptions or threads.

@ BRS | SFM Posters | trade.tf read the description above. If you haven't extracted the game cache VPK files, you won't find them. They are new and separate models and materials from this one.

I didn't understand 1 thing on how to add the all class version of dead of night xD Where are the files, Dead of Night AllClass models are in the Mod folder you extracted the TF2 VPKs into and found in the models\workshop\player\items\all_class\xms2013_jacket folder. WHERE IS THAT xDDD I cannot find anything like that

Your missing textures, probably an environmental map or a bumpmap. Check your console for errors

SFM isn't my life, I have too much going on and no ideas to use in SFM. Not to mention I can't make a simple walk sequence without a half an hour tutorial and extra help since I screwed up a simple step (though, the man had an accent...) I couldn't use SFM fully if I tried. I only need the soldier one so I'll figure out how to do so. And I'm almost done doing an actually good animation, so I'll need it.

Ppl are not going to remake items that already work fine in SFM and if you're not porting the new stuff as it is released in TF2, then you're not using SFM to its full advantage.

The Dead of Night AllClass models are in the Mod folder you extracted the TF2 VPKs into and found in the models\workshop\player\items\all_class\xms2013_jacket folder. To load them into SFM look up xms2013_jacket_{Class} in the model browser ("IF YOU HAVE EXTRACTED THE TF2 GAME VPKs TO SFM") since the update was added to TF2. If you don't find these models, then you have not extracted the tf2 Game Assets files since the update.

For the 10th time now...

For those of your looking for the AllClass DON, It is a totally different model for each class and is available to you if your Port in the TF2 Game Assets to SFM. The skins on the AllClass models are paintable in there current state and DO NOT need a fix. This Texture fix is for the Spy's DON that ships with SFM.

For us who cant really do so, is there an item on the workshop that allows us to have the All-Class DoN models, or could you make them? They dont appear under the "Add Team Fortress Hat" box

Read the 3 comments below that I posted. THIS jacket IS FOR the Dead of Night THAT COMES with SFM. The All Class Dead of Night items are SEPARATE MODELS that have to be extracted from the game VPKs, and they are paintable as they are.

no, it means you have to manually spawn and attach the new dead of night to the model. Once the game cache VPKs are ported they are always available if you gave the new mod folder a high enough priority. However the attach TF2 Item function will only look for SFM related mods. So that means you would have to do what I said before, manually spawn and attach the new D-O-Ns to the characters.
