I loaded the map and it was completely flat and featureless? Very strange.

Yeah Kyoto is quite an awesome city, beautiful, will keep it for a later game.

Also, adjusting the settings does nothing. Lags exacly the same on lowest graphics as it does on highest.

Do I need any supporting mods for this map...? From the moment I start any game using this map it's so lagged, the camera is jumpy it's unplayable. Any idea why? It isn't a pc issue (brand new $6k custom watercooled unit) and haven't run into any issues with other maps / mods, only this one :( I really want to try it too!

@Lieckiö There is this site called terrain(dot)party, it makes heightmaps specifically to the scale used in cities:skylines. I advise you though, smaller the scale, the blockier it gets, and you have to smooth it out after importing no matter what (my map for example, did'nt turn out great)
I also beleive Fukuoka is already built, Beppu, not sure of yet.

I made an update. I improved the river again and changed the location for oil.

Sry, I had no time to fix any problems.
Yes, I had some issues with making rivers. The System for that is quite bad imho.

@Tooki: There is no part of Osaka in this map. The scale is quite huge, but not that huge.
I thought that ja huge scale is better than a small scale.
Yes, this two rivers are missing, because I had some problems in creating rivers. sry :(
I'm not really talented in creating maps, but I love Kyoto, so I tried to make this map.
I hope that my map is not too bad. ^^

it is yamashina
Tooki 20 Mar, 2015 @ 7:10pm
This probably an issue of scale, but you're missing a lot of rivers. Notably the Kamo and Uji, the former of which is really important to the history and landscape of central Kyoto. I think you should really scale this map down to just include the Kyoto basin and Yamashina. This map stretches from downtown Osaka all the way to the middle of Shiga; It's just too big..

just so you know, there is one tiny square on land that is being read as being under water.

it keeps popping up that the house is flooded. its kind of funny, because its so far from the river.

It feels like the river doesn'tn have enough water

Like as i pan out i can see the sand on the bottom. Why don't you try raising the level at the beginning of the river?

I hope that the river is better now.
zornor 13 Mar, 2015 @ 3:03pm
The water pressure from the river is so low that my city's poop is going upstream. Maybe you could turn it up?

Hey, a question, where do you get your heightdata from? I was trying to find some passable heightdata out there for Japan, but couldn't find anything but 50m accuracy ones.

Need to make my hometowns of Beppu and Fukuoka... ;P
Shiro1_Ookami  [author] 12 Mar, 2015 @ 7:19pm
Thanks, I improved the waterflow. Everything should be fine now.
Rasseru 12 Mar, 2015 @ 4:43pm
I notice the river is flowing the wrong way. :ojseagull:
