VHeathen 31 Aug, 2018 @ 11:34pm

[SOLO] CENARONE 30 Jun, 2018 @ 2:13pm
Not working anymore..
Rashasha 5 Nov, 2017 @ 6:58pm
Did this stop working suddenly for anybody?
Laptop 14 Jan, 2017 @ 5:37am
As this is not currently working with the current version of the game - it has been marked incompatible.
Lanceris 8 Dec, 2016 @ 5:03am
Updated version here
StubbornFrenchie 7 Dec, 2016 @ 7:33am
Would also be willing to donate to get this up and running again. It was an excellent Mod.
Planetfist 6 Dec, 2016 @ 7:19pm
If anyone gets in touch with him can you let him know about our proposal here?
schax 6 Dec, 2016 @ 11:58am
@Manforce Same here, I would happily give a donation to see this updated!
pertjparn 6 Dec, 2016 @ 5:30am
@Manforce: Definitely would contribute to get this one going again. I was just about ready to get Moscow and Berlin going when the pink square thing happened.
Planetfist 6 Dec, 2016 @ 1:27am
Would be happy to donate to the creator of this mod to get it updated. Anyone else happy to contribute so we could make it worth his while and get this sorted out?
Aureliaskhan 5 Dec, 2016 @ 4:55pm
Please....I need this mod.
QuantumEffect 4 Dec, 2016 @ 6:04pm
Looking into this more, something to do with material or shader stuff in the code that makes it magenta/purple. Unfortunately, I don't know much about C# coding or using Unity engine (Cities Skylines is based on the Unity engine) to correct it myself.

But when I decompiled it with dotPeek, some changes might have to be done under the LoadingExtension public class as it has code referring to textures and materials and shaders.
greenwalk 4 Dec, 2016 @ 7:10am
nothing but a bright pink square for me.....
Magic Bullet 3 Dec, 2016 @ 5:45am
Same here, trying to build London, will be next to impossible without this wonderful mod.
Zsolti 3 Dec, 2016 @ 5:43am
Same problem... :=((
pertjparn 3 Dec, 2016 @ 12:18am
Yes this game has lost a lot if this mod isn't working.
Mojo ♥ Squad 2 Dec, 2016 @ 4:34am
The game will have lost its main fun factor if this mod isn't going to be updated. :(
bornbo 1 Dec, 2016 @ 9:54am
ive got the same..
StubbornFrenchie 1 Dec, 2016 @ 8:13am
Same issue, really hope this mod gets updated.
cs2016 1 Dec, 2016 @ 7:54am
I have the same issue.. image is purple in-game...
Outcast 30 Nov, 2016 @ 8:39pm
Agree with QuantumEffect. It's purple :(
mat2maa 30 Nov, 2016 @ 1:37am
@QuantumEffect +1
QuantumEffect 29 Nov, 2016 @ 8:45pm
After the Natural Disasters update, the .PNG files now come up purple...
LeeNash 7 Nov, 2016 @ 5:39am
Hey there! I used your Mod with great success so far. I used a .PNG with 8243x8234 pixels and it still worked (even your text says 4096x4096 max). Is there a way you can make it handle even better resolutions? Because i use Maperitive (OSM Mapnik) and want to see all shops and most importantly all Doctors and hospitals...but for that i need Zoom lvl15 minimum: That gives me a 20k x 20k .PNG....and that didnt work...
Headrock 2 Nov, 2016 @ 5:49pm
(Correction: It still works fine in-game, it only fails in the map editor for some reason).
Headrock 2 Nov, 2016 @ 5:36pm
Huh... This mod used to work for me when I last played (6 months ago?), but now it doesn't anymore. I've unsubscribed and subscribed, made sure it was activated in the mods menu, no luck. The image I'm using is a 4096x4096 overlay.png in the correct folder. Nothing shows up in-game, no matter what I press, not even the red questionmark people have mentioned.
ZorgWar 15 Oct, 2016 @ 11:14pm
Love this mod, but can I make a suggestion. About to set the Opacity to 25,50,75,100
This would allow to see though the image rather then rase it up or down. Easyer for editing terrian outlines and also roads. Thanks for a cool mod. :)
ChrisGold 9 Oct, 2016 @ 6:29pm
If I dont have a NUMPAD... how'da hell can I move the map??
agrimes 6 Oct, 2016 @ 11:28pm
Hey, can you set the alpha value of the overlay to 0.75 or something so it is possible to see your work and the map at the same time? also a tool for importing height-maps would be mondo helpful too. =)
good for _, 18 Sep, 2016 @ 8:40am
doesn't work 4 me. some red question mark instead pic. (is there resolution-limit thing?)
Havan_IronOak 9 Sep, 2016 @ 6:22am
BTW... This is a GREAT Mod. I hope everone who uses it rates it up.

There is a minor issue I'd like to see fixed if this ever gets updated again. The overlay is NOT refreshed if one loads one map over another. Several times I've loaded the old version of a map only to discover while I was trying to fit the overlay to the map that I'd loaded an older version. I When I load the proper map, the overlay from the previousload still appears.
Havan_IronOak 8 Sep, 2016 @ 4:55am
djera you need to make certain that the png file you create is exactly square. I do that in MS Paint. I crop the image to any size where the x and y are the same. Then the overlay works great.

I wish that lowering and raising it were a bit less sensitive though. (the zero and period keys) Does anyone know if that's configurable somewhere?
djera 7 Sep, 2016 @ 3:19am
When I load the image, it changes aspecy from 16:9 to 1:1. How do I fix that?
bobo 29 Aug, 2016 @ 7:27pm
GOD. Finally, I was find The Files folder.
if you had modify route when you game install, The Files folder find at that route. I'm forgot that I chose (D:) drive.
by the way, is this mod impossible when loaded save files?(playing and map editor) It does not work.
thx.
TheRJMonk 24 Aug, 2016 @ 4:25am
HI is there away of making it so that you can resize the image then have a button to save the size and placement of the image so that everytime you load in the game you click a button and load the last placement and size
JM20topgamer 18 Aug, 2016 @ 4:52pm
@mizrael77
Try to activate Numpad. So that they are working like Numbers.
mizrael77 31 Jul, 2016 @ 1:22am
image control keys do not work anymore. I can only toggle the image on/off.
Everything worked fine last time (a couple of months ago so with the previous patch I think)
TheRJMonk 9 Jul, 2016 @ 11:45am
Wish that when you load a map the overlay will stay where you left it when you closed the save
skippybdog 9 Jul, 2016 @ 9:02am
on the description where it says overlay.png does that mean the image that you put in, is it only in the files folder and not a created folder that you call overlay.png, just could someone describe it better please like copy and paste the directions you used
Chad 9 Jul, 2016 @ 12:14am
Any way how to save the overlay? Now everytime I re open the map i need to set it back correctly again
Jalatiphra 26 Jun, 2016 @ 7:40am
I would love to store the current settings and have them automatically loaded when i restart the game.
MetroTrekker 28 May, 2016 @ 4:55am
Really good but a bit too basic. It needs several new features, such as:

A key to reset the angle to 90 degrees if you accidentally twist it or just went to reset it
A key to automatically scale/expand it to fit the map (all 81 tiles) perfectly
A way to toggle between several other images. Maybe you want to use a road map for a little while, and then switch to a satellite image for example.
Dalu 26 May, 2016 @ 7:02am
I have no numpad!
archlinuxrussian 25 May, 2016 @ 6:26pm
For me it works, just the image is squished (was a 16:9 image, squished to 4:3 I believe) :/
Malone Ween 22 May, 2016 @ 8:35am
Is the Mod working? because i believe i did everything correctly and it did not show up in game
JM20topgamer 22 May, 2016 @ 8:02am
I took the picture in the right place. I called it overlay.png. When i want to open a map in the Map-editor with the picture, theres the map with a picture with a big red question mark.
