Obviously Abandoned... Just unsub and rate down. Was great in it's time though.
DeRavi 12 Oct, 2015 @ 4:03pm
Just commenting so ill get the comment update if someone makes this dx11, unsubbing for now. Great mod though!
aether.tech 26 Sep, 2015 @ 8:38am
Any news on a DX11 version of this?
Chip Patton  [author] 5 Aug, 2015 @ 6:47pm
@SEModder4 -- I give you full permissions to use my work to extend this mod to DX11. However, I would ask that you attempt to get UncleSte's permission to use his assets if he is available (I think he is now).
Cudg 5 Aug, 2015 @ 6:46pm
@SEModder4 just came to see if you guys had dx11, glad to hear its on the way =)
SEModder4  [developer] 1 Aug, 2015 @ 6:14pm
I am working on a DX-9 and DX-11 ready version right now, it's currently set to friends only while my friends beta test it for me.

I should have most if not all of the doors done tonight.

Stay tuned to my workshop for the new and improved Doors Mod pack. :D
Helratz 27 Jul, 2015 @ 2:50pm
Is it just me or do the small ship versions stop O2 reguardless of whether they're open or closed?
Regicide 25 Jul, 2015 @ 9:25am
Yep, Doors a just black. The whole Texture :/
jb_aero 8 Jun, 2015 @ 9:50pm
KamOK, based on the file size, this has everything from the original, but if you want to be safe, install this above the original on your mods list so that when it is taken down everything will fall back to the original mod.
[K&B] KamOK 3 Jun, 2015 @ 7:47am
This fix must be installed with original modpack or without it?
KilledJoy 29 May, 2015 @ 1:13pm
Please Dx-11??
gripenblau 29 May, 2015 @ 9:47am
gone do DX11? Like your mod :)
kortikal 20 May, 2015 @ 4:03pm
Hi, same issue, on small ship (and this doors are the best for small ship gone large) they are like force field, oxygen didn't pull out.
Riverey 4 May, 2015 @ 1:43pm
Isn't that broken now?
I have problems on the small ship with oxygen not going out of that door than opened.
Spock The Builder 3 May, 2015 @ 7:37am
I added this comment to the main page as well, but it would be awesome if there was a 1 piece 2x1 door that only allows one door to be open. I don't think I'd ever use anything else if I had that option. I am a little tired of needing 5 sensors just to get 2 entrances to work as semi-auto airlocks...
737✈Garrus 27 Apr, 2015 @ 10:45am
i'd like the adjusted door to be at the thickness 1 instead of 2 on small ships.
737✈Garrus 26 Apr, 2015 @ 10:51am
make the adjusted door slim
Chip Patton  [author] 14 Apr, 2015 @ 8:26pm
@gruh, right, that's because like with the regular doors, there needs to be an open block on each side of the door for air to flow through -- I found my issue with this was simply that I didn't have enough air blocks in my airlock, but as soon as I had 3 blocks seperating my doors, the room depressurized just fine. I'm not sure what's causing that and I've already started to dive into the code to check it out.
Hyomoto 14 Apr, 2015 @ 3:43pm
I should note, this is in relation to the offset doors. I don't think it's possible to find a satisfactory solution for angled doors yet.
Hyomoto 14 Apr, 2015 @ 3:42pm
As an update to the 02 issues, it seems like the engine chooses a side that defines whether or not the block has oxygen. In the case of an offset door, if it is receiving it from the side which the door is placed against, it will cause this issue. It may be as simple as rotating the model 180 degrees to the opposite side so the location of the door will match the direction the oxygen 'flows' from.

A simple test for this is to put a door between two pressurized spaces and then depressurize the one on the other side of the door. If it shows the door as not having oxygen, like I said, it might be as simple as rotating the model. I can't personally test this, I am not into Space Engineers modding, so it's only a theory but logic follows if the block recieves oxygen from one side and not the other, it should work.
darksunrise957 14 Apr, 2015 @ 11:42am
Gah, Steam didn't notify me of your reply; sorry. So, yeah, thanks for letting me know! It'd really suck if I messed this up and deleted all of the doors in my world...
that guy you know 13 Apr, 2015 @ 10:54pm
Not sure if you're the right one to tell about this, and I'm sorry if someone's already said it but the decompression effect/oxygen doesn't quite work correctly on small ships. Regardless of whether the door is open or closed, the room will pressurize, decompression only takes place when the door is removed.
Chip Patton  [author] 13 Apr, 2015 @ 9:02am
@jb_aero - UncleSte, from what I gather is still under the weather, but from the signals I'm getting he wants to work together to get the O2 issues resolved on his mod. I think this is very positive, and I agree with you that UncleSte seems like the person who would rather the community continue his legacy than let it become a faint footnote.
Morphik 13 Apr, 2015 @ 3:07am
Well it's good to hear that UncleSte isn't a stick in the mud like David Lasher. I mean the combo wall isn't even his mod to defend it was ripptides. Anyways thats why I am learning to 3D model, so I can make my own combo wall mod and shove it in his smug face.
jb_aero 12 Apr, 2015 @ 10:28pm
Weren't you the guy who made CW less expensive? They probably banned it because Lasher went and told them to... he seems pretty defensive about the mod. UncleSte seems like he'd be ok with a community fix for his users until he could fix it himself. The fact that he accepted leewells's friend request seems to confirm that.

TL;DR: UncleSte didn't ask for it to be removed
Morphik 12 Apr, 2015 @ 7:17pm
I don't understand how your mod change is staying up. I had a reworked mod on the workshop for less than 8 hours before the dunderhead moderators banned it. They don't understand their own TOS, I wasnt claiming it was my mod but mearly a tweak since the mod author isn't around anymore and I wasn't asking for donations.
dreckspatzmk 12 Apr, 2015 @ 4:03pm
Thanks for O² Update :) !!!
space_artist_4real 12 Apr, 2015 @ 10:26am
If I understand correctly, this replaces the old doors with new no-helmet-engineers-friendly (airtight for short) doors, even if I already built some in my re-arranged big red ship, right?

stedo 12 Apr, 2015 @ 4:34am
Thanks for adapting these.

I love Uncleste's mods and I hope his issues (whatever they may be) are soon resolved.
fingers crossed he will be happy with you adaptation.

I certainly can't fault the effort you have gone to to give credit where it is due.

Whilst I understand the expressed conserns of others here I feel that you have done the right thing and i look forward to using these in my ships and bases
Chip Patton  [author] 11 Apr, 2015 @ 12:00pm
Just to ammend what I said a few posts down, I do have one request if UncleSte uses this mod, and that is he give credit for the fix to zevangile or at least ask to see if he wants credit; that's all.
Chip Patton  [author] 11 Apr, 2015 @ 11:55am
I've already tried, he has a pending friend request, and a pre-typed message pending the acceptance of that request.
Wunder 11 Apr, 2015 @ 11:54am
that is standard steam prodecure, he was on 1 hour ago, and when I Was going to inform him, he was offline 17 minutes ago.
Chip Patton  [author] 11 Apr, 2015 @ 11:53am
@Phoenix-Shinkiro - Nope, hes certainly not online. As I just logged in I see last online 3 hours ago.
Wunder 11 Apr, 2015 @ 11:53am
at this current moment he is not online.
Chip Patton  [author] 11 Apr, 2015 @ 11:49am
@Phoenix-Shinkiro - He still has not replied or messaged me or updated his mod :( He has full permission to simply copy this mod if he choses.
Chip Patton  [author] 11 Apr, 2015 @ 11:48am
@primarccreagor - I also understand what KSH states, however, they cannot override the steam workshop agreement. Their concern was directly pinned at 2 disputes over mods in which people were using mods and not giving authors credit and accepting donations. Again, the post you linked establishes a moral responsibility as KSH sees it, but does not make this mod break any rules at all as it is still well within Steam Guidelines.

I'm not accepting donations. I've agreed to remove the mod if UncleSte returns and asks (3 pages ago). Most likely, he will copy the mod back to his own for the fix, I've already given permission for that, and will still remove the mod without question if he asks.

I'm not sure what else can be done to show I have zero interest taking any kind of credit at all. Even in the description I was very obvious to even disclaim the fix itelse and attributed that to another user. All I did was make the edit and hit "publish".
Wunder 11 Apr, 2015 @ 10:33am
AHEM!
Uncle ste has returned, he had extreme personal problems of which I wont get in to, I will inform him of this post.
williamcaw 11 Apr, 2015 @ 9:36am
he just updated the mod for uncleset and did credit him for it stop complaning
Kittamaru 10 Apr, 2015 @ 6:35pm
Guys, the original mod creator isn't around (personal issues) to update the mod... leewells has credited UncleSte quite simple and obviously - he isn't trying to "steal" anything... please quit raging on him for it. All he did was update the mod to work with the latest updates...
primarccreagor 10 Apr, 2015 @ 4:28pm
Look no one is attacking you, but you dont work for steam. That is what the aggreement says and is to protect them, and any mod creator. You mite just be told to stop at any point and must under stand this. And I am going to say this, you are in the wrong and you just dont get it.

http://forums.keenswh.com/threads/to-all-mod-users-and-mod-authors.7031547/

read it.

The reason I am saying this is not hate, nor spite but out of respect for all mod creators just understand that.
Chip Patton  [author] 10 Apr, 2015 @ 3:25pm
@Hyomoto - I'll look into that, I think there is an issue with trying to get oxygen to transfer to adjacent blocks like that:
OXX
XDX
XXO
I'm not really sure if there is any work-around for that, but I'll certainly look into it and appreciate the heads up.
Hyomoto 10 Apr, 2015 @ 11:26am
Steam ruined my crappy diagram, here's another. Imagine O represents an oxygen space, E be a non-oxygen space, and X be solid blocks. Let D be an offset door, and let < be the direction oxygen flows.

X O X X X X
O O O D < X Oxygen flows through door, spaces have oxygen
X O X X O X

X E X X X X
E D < O O X Oxygen does NOT flow through door, spaces are empty
X E X X O X
Hyomoto 10 Apr, 2015 @ 11:22am
Just as a heads up, this has some limitations to it I'm not sure if you can fix but it means that oxygen still doesn't work quite right. Specifically with the offset doors, they are still treated as if they were centered in the middle of the block. Which means they block oxygen in all directions except front to back. If you have, for example, a one block wide corridor and you are using the door to exit in any direction other than front to back, oxygen will not transfer. Here is a poor diagram of it:

X X X D X -> Oxygen flows normally

X X X D - > Oxygen flows 'into' door while open, but does not transfer to adjacent block.
X
Chip Patton  [author] 10 Apr, 2015 @ 10:43am
@Fyury - thanks for the supportive words. My intent was to never steal anyone's thunder, we simply wanted to use the mod with oxygen on our own server. The crime, as we saw it, was to restrict access to the fixed mod through use only on our server. That seemed to be the real shady path to go.
Fyury 10 Apr, 2015 @ 9:50am
...and you gave the original author credit for his work. While there is nothing in the subscriber agreement requiring this, it is a basic sign of respect and separates those who want to enhance the game by building on the collective works of the community verus those who try to take credit for other people's efforts.
Fyury 10 Apr, 2015 @ 9:46am
Well done and an appreciated update. ...and yes you are well within your rights. The ownership of mod code/IP here is no different than for a lot of games, World of Warcraft for example.
Chip Patton  [author] 10 Apr, 2015 @ 7:30am
@galacticon - No one knows sadly :(

@darksunrise957 - It does, I left everything the same so Door ID's should also be the same (not a great idea to have both mods installed)

@primarccreagor & @Azrael - everyone using the Workshop has to agree to the Steam Subscriber Agreement:

https://steamhost.cn/subscriber_agreement/

Subsection 6A:
"You grant Valve and its >>affiliates the worldwide<<, non-exclusive, right to use, >>reproduce<<, >>modify<<, >>create derivative works from<<, >>distribute<<, >>transmit<<, transcode, translate, broadcast, and otherwise communicate, and publicly display and publicly perform, your User Generated Content, and derivative works of your User Generated Content, in connection with the operation and promotion of the Steam site."

Unless UncleSte states otherwise, what I have done is completely legit.
