Hi! Can I integrate your mod into mine? Mine is a 149mb mode that almost reworked Eu4, and I think your mod is useful for this, I will surely inform my describers about you as co-maker:steamhappy:

I can't say I enjoyed this for the 3 hours I spent with it enabled. The soundtrack seems to be exclusively heavy drama pieces like a Rex Tremendae or a Dies Irae, or movie soundtrack items. Didn't really scratch my itch. I'll go back to playing the academy of st. martin in the fields on spotify instead.
Siegfried 15 SEP 2022 a las 5:25
@drewboy30 It still works
drewboy30 14 SEP 2022 a las 9:39
This is not compatible with the current version of the game EU v1.34.2.0 Sweden.
MrPoop69 17 ABR 2022 a las 17:20
@notmf It's already compatible with the currant version, most music mods are, just FYI

P.S.: When you only indicates the path (inside the descriptor) as follows...
path="mod/The-Folder-Name-from-the-Mod-You-Want-to-Work"
... Then the game understands that the folder indicated is this:
...Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod
Samwell 31 OCT 2021 a las 14:25
Then, open the descriptor (.mod) with the Wordpad/Notepad and make sure it indicates the right path for the folder of the mod you want to work. The path line is like this:

path="mod/The-Folder-Name-from-the-Mod-You-Want-to-Work"

And the mod specific folder will probably be found on this path:
...Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\236850

You can keep it there, or move it to the previous mentioned folder, or place it anywhere you want, but the descriptor must always indicate the right path to where it is located.
Samwell 31 OCT 2021 a las 14:24
@Levynx, I don't know if there is a manual, probably yes, but usually, if you want a mod to work and it is in fact compatible with the game version (like this one, which works on almost all game versions), you just need to give a look on the mod descriptor (.mod) file.

The descriptor may sometimes appear automatically on the mods' general folder, but always can be found in the mod's specific folder and copied to that general folder.

This is the path for the mods' general folder:
...Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod

Inside it, all Steam mod descriptors can be found with a given constant number for each one of them.
LevynX 29 OCT 2021 a las 15:22
Is there a manual install file for people on the older versions? I think the new pdx launcher changes how the game handles mods.
Samwell 24 OCT 2021 a las 14:53
@Drizztzs, if you would prefer to really publish it on Paradox yourself, I am sure we would all be much thankful to you.

But I am proposing to publish it for you because I suppose you have not had so much free time recently to spend it on modding and these stuff.

And it would be amazing for all these new players, being able to listen to this excellent selection of the most fine music available through your mod, regardless of playing on Steam or not.

Anyway, publishing directly on Paradox is quite easy, actually much easier than on Steam. I spent some minutes to publish my first mod on Paradox and then some hours to publish it on Steam. I can help you if you will.
Samwell 24 OCT 2021 a las 13:55
@Drizztzs, so would you mind about it?
Samwell 24 OCT 2021 a las 13:54
@Drizztzs, in other hand, people who play outside Steam cannot subscribe on mods, and that is why I ask you permission to publish it on Paradox Worskhop, making it clear that you are the author. Many people are starting to play now out of Steam, since Epic Store started to sell the game.
Samwell 24 OCT 2021 a las 13:52
@Drizztzs, your mod works perfectly well for me on the most recent game version (except by one or two songs, so it is not a game version issue).
Samwell 24 OCT 2021 a las 13:50
I'm glad you found out how to do it, @JoeDavAlex! If it worked this way, you can imitate the same way that manual downloaded mods work, and put the archives into a mod folder with a descriptor outside.
Drizztzs  [autor] 23 OCT 2021 a las 17:49
Did paradox change how the game handles music again? I'll have to look into it! Haven't been playing in a hot minute but usually the songs will keep playing despite the mod being out of date.
JoeDavAlex 23 OCT 2021 a las 14:00
That would be a great act of service to the community @Samwell, I hope Drizztzs approves. After fiddling around for a bit, I figured out how I could make the songs play on pretty much any version of the game. All I did was copy the .OGG files from the mod and transfer them to the music folder in EU4, so they're part of the game's playlist. Many thanks for trying to help Sam! =)
Samwell 23 OCT 2021 a las 10:29
Actually, I am considering updating this very mod for the current version and making it available on Paradox Workshop , with all the same songs, same name, same title, that is, exactly the same mod, giving all credit for the rightful authorship of @Drizztzs.

@Drizztzs, would you mind about it?
Samwell 23 OCT 2021 a las 10:19
But it is important to notice, the mod at Paradox Workshop was not published by me. I just found it and decided to tell it here, because it would be very useful for non-Steam users and for manual download.
Samwell 23 OCT 2021 a las 10:16
Hi, @JoeDavAlex! I understand what you ask. At the moment, I don't know how to do it, but if I figure out, I will tell you.
JoeDavAlex 17 OCT 2021 a las 11:58
@Samwell, that's good and all, really appreciate it. However, is it possible to get a direct download of older versions of the mod? For instance, 1.21 because that's what I'm playing on. I tried to download it from Paradox's workshop but I'm not too tech-savvy so I had difficulty to try and roll it back. Many thanks.
Samwell 7 OCT 2021 a las 19:29
This mod has been made available on Paradox's mod workshop, in version 1.30, under the name Classical Music , for Steam and non-Steam players, and can be accessed through this link:

Wavez 29 AGO 2021 a las 8:09
I don't know if it's just placebo but I swear 80% of the playlist is the Toreador Song. It's now been stuck in my head for a month and I swear the mode just alternates between another song and then back to Toreador. 10/10 mod tho lmaoooooooooooooo TOREADOR O TOREADOR TOREADOR
JoeDavAlex 6 AGO 2021 a las 22:11
Hello, I hope this message finds you well. While a lot of people are talking about updating the mod, I was wondering if there was any possible way to roll it back to 1.21 because that's the version I'm comfortable with (since I stopped buying DLC after 2017). I understand a lot has changed with the way Steam handles mods, so a direct download link of the old version would be preferable but it's alright if you may not have it. Thank you for taking the time to read and making one of my favorite mods, really helps to set the mood and have relaxing games to. :)
