@MrMiyagi Cool :-). On SC4 I always liked Somy's Japanese stuff one of my faveroutes was a mountain temple he made. I'm considering doing something similar for my next temple.

So I used your tree to make a Scholar's Garden out of the stock Japanese one. It looks great on the one entry corner built high on a "green mountain".

@MrMiyagi Thankyou I hope you like them :-). I tried blender but I just couldn't get used to it, I made these with Maya lt. Followed a tutorial on youtube for making trees in Maya and then made these cherry blossoms!

Thank you! I tried my best to make some Japanese niwaki style trees in Blender... I can do it in the real world... but in a virtual world I am apparently clueless :D

@Shroomblaze... That's great I'll take a look :-). Slightly obsessed with Japanese things I know!

Ok, I see you like lots of Japanese stuff. I just released a red and orange Japanese maple tree if you are interested in that.

@Shroomblaze Thanks for shareing I'll take a look :-). I don't have much experience with any 3d modelling and its literally the first tree and Alpha map I have made. Everything I have made for Cities Skylines including the three temples/shrines so far has been a learning curve.

I'm using Maya Lt which is the most intuitive 3d software I have used, prior to that I had only very limited experience at college with 3ds Max. I have watched a few tutorials to set me on my way.

I may try to make a Japanese magnolia next so ill definatly take note of your advice, but its going to be a bit before I add anything else as I have spent the last few weeks just modelling things... I need to actually play the game again!

Yea I agree, I just checked yours out in game and it looks good. I do see some problems though that I think I can help you fix for future stuff you create... You have white edges from the alpha channel, this can be fixed by using this method...

You can also read more about it here...

Also I noticed you used just a pink flower shape for the flower, maybe next time crop a real flower texture and use those instead to give your tree more depth. I'm not trying to bash your tree, I think it's good actually. Just trying to give some friendly advice to improve your future work! :)
