I would just set the fog enabled to false and be done with it. (thats just me though)

@ArcticWolf
I think the fog is supposed to simulate a sfumato effect. Basically, the further you are from the horizon, the more it fades and blurs. You can see this in pictures of mountains. The further mountains seem bluish and blurry, while the closer ones are normal color. Of course, this is only my best guess as to why they added fog and may not be correct.
I'll mess around with the fog settings in my next skybox.

This is one thing I don't understand why they added it..

There's NO fog in space! LOL

So WHY in the heck did they add that?

They already have the HUD (forward view) setup to shrink objects so that they seem like they are farther away - I noticed this when I was looking for an asteroid to go to and I saw one off to my left that appeared to be large but as soon as I turned (I was outside the ship) to look at it, it became very very small, I turned back the other way and it grew large again. GAWD!

If you might can do one or a few with no fog at all - I'd be happy to test - I'd appreciate them. :)

I looked briefly and those are some really nice photos! I'll see if I can make a horse head nebula skybox or something like that.
ArcticWolf 25 Apr, 2015 @ 7:15am

@ArcticWolf
I'll take a look and see if I can conjure something up. Thanks!

Also, forgot to mention this last night, just wondering if you've ever looked at the photo's the Hubble Telescope has taken and maybe tried to use one or more of these in a skybox?

Here's a link to their Gallery: http://hubblesite.org/gallery/

The pictures you provided are the polar opposite of what I see. The mod's filename should stay the same. I'm not sure what to say about that...
ArcticWolf 23 Apr, 2015 @ 10:16pm
I didn't find that file when I went into the mods folder, but it was there after re-subscribing to it. I'm wondering if maybe there's a copy of the old one (the first one?) but since I am no longer subscribing to it I do not know the number...........

Not familiar with the proceedure for posting links on here but here goes anyway... there's 2 screen shots included in this, they are from a fresh install of your skybox that I would really love to try using. I hit the V key to get the 3rd person view and then soomed all of the way out, you shoulid be albe to see that the sun is still on the dark side of the planet and there's nothing visible on the sun side except empty space. :(

You may have to copy and paste the links to your browser.....

Ok Thanx, I"m going to give it a try now, if it doesn't change then I'll go to that folder. I have a shortcut on my desktop to SE folder already so I can get easy access to all of the folders inside.

@ArcticWolf
OK. I did a few minor tweaks. The sun has definitely changed to a more suitable position. If you're not noticing a difference, try deleting this mod from your "C:\Users\ username \AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Mods\" directory. The appID you're looking for is: 428027027.sbm. Don't worry about re-subscribing- the mod automagically re-downloads if it's missing. Hopefully you'll notice the change.

@ArcticWolf
I'm not really sure what to tell you. I've changed it on my end and re-uploaded it. It seems fine to me now. Sorry about that. I'll look into it more when I have a chance.

@Tyler
That sounds like a really sweet mod. Be sure to let me know when it goes public!
ArcticWolf 22 Apr, 2015 @ 10:05pm
When I tried this one the other day - after you said it was repaired the sun was still in the same spot :(

The New stars are great!
ArcticWolf 18 Apr, 2015 @ 10:46pm
Hate to say this but the Sun is still on the wrong side - it appears on the shadow side of the planet with the sunlight hitting on the opposite side. I have a screen shot if you want to see it... : (
