I don't know if I'll get around to updating this again. So I've marked it obsolete in the meantime.

I'm getting ice from metal ores inside the refinery by the pure existence of this mod inside the game (even if a moisture reclaimer isn't built). Furthermore it doesn't pay to use the moisture reclaimer because you will only get minimal amounts of ice from stone. I prefer to build my base near an icefield anyway, that's always a good gaming start.
humbrol2 24 Apr, 2019 @ 7:48pm
im still getting just ice as well from the ore
Kitchew 11 Mar, 2019 @ 3:13pm
Is anyone still using this? I tried it on my server and its refining everything at 100 percent into ice. Instead of the .1 percent. There was a patch today though.

i love it its awsome saved me twice on mars
Shaddaz - [EN] 8 Jan, 2017 @ 4:06am
Love this mod I lost it a while back when i did a full clear out and forgot what is was called happy to have found it again just hoping it all still works with the BETA chages ;)
kaos6669 14 Mar, 2016 @ 5:29pm
yeah just makes it a lttle work to acctually get ice then as at the moment with the mod even on the map i am doing i have no ice avaluble without high risk of crashing but i still have a massave amount of ice with out any other access to it other than this mod
Gwindalmir  [author] 14 Mar, 2016 @ 4:24pm
@kaos6669, so you're saying cut it in half? I'm open to that.
kaos6669 14 Mar, 2016 @ 3:43pm
i would suggest making the amount lower of ice for normal refinarys like 1 ice for every 2k ore refined
Gwindalmir  [author] 20 Jan, 2016 @ 7:45pm
@Solraven, excellent idea.
Solraven 20 Jan, 2016 @ 12:29am
maybe a moisture condenser to condence moisture in the air into ice or water?
OperationDx 21 Nov, 2015 @ 10:19pm
@Lastchance84 That's an awesome idea. Should not be to hard to code. I'm to lazy to make my own models atm but I'm positive I could code this into this mod or refinery.
lastchance84 3 Nov, 2015 @ 1:23am
i love to see a mod that takes oxygen out of the tank and turns its back into ice. the idea being on planet you could use an air intake then turn it into ice so you can make hydrogen fuel.
PrairForMercy 1 Nov, 2015 @ 2:52pm
@phoenix nevermind seems problem is related to all kinds of refineries after the patch
PrairForMercy 1 Nov, 2015 @ 6:42am
@phoenix doesent work for me anymore since last patch it got stone but wont procces it in moisture reclaimer, ice from refinary works
Gwindalmir  [author] 31 Oct, 2015 @ 1:07pm
@Merix, Try it and let me know. :-)
Merix 30 Oct, 2015 @ 5:39pm
Is this still compatible with the current SE build?
KitsuneKas 26 Oct, 2015 @ 10:32am
This is a great compliment to the stone crusher mod, which has the same form factor, and various centrifuge mods out there. Now I have a real reason to do something other than just crush all the stone I mine right away!
Udon De Noodle 10 Aug, 2015 @ 10:01am
what i mean is one that makes less ingots and moare ice
Udon De Noodle 10 Aug, 2015 @ 10:00am
i love this mod so useful and i love ur pic..... BTW can u make a legr version of mod like this? cuz some people need alot of oxgen for their mega captial ships thhat lagg the whole game so it would be nice for a lage almoist refinery size version of this
Gwindalmir  [author] 25 Jul, 2015 @ 12:43am
@tehroach, That's not how it works.
The idea behind this is that it recovers moisture content from the rock, not oxygen. That's why it outputs ice.

tehroach 24 Jul, 2015 @ 4:25am
Great MOD like the idea, but don't like the name.

You don't need moisture to make the Oxygen from stone, take the Moon for example the rock there is as dry as a bone yet are composed of about 40% oxygen, same for the rusty red iron.

So your idea is realistic, but your method is wrong.

Don't mean to sound negative (as I will definitly be using your MOD great work), but IMO it would be better if you altered the description :)

@marvin uh oh class retard alert retard alert!!
Cap'n MacHaddish 9 Jul, 2015 @ 6:01pm
i figured it out already. Google. *facepalm*
Gwindalmir  [author] 9 Jul, 2015 @ 6:00pm
@Marvin, DirectX 11.
Cap'n MacHaddish 9 Jul, 2015 @ 5:40pm
What the heck is DX11?
Gwindalmir  [author] 1 Jul, 2015 @ 7:12pm
@ATG, thanks. I don't know if I'll use them yet, but thanks for the offer. As for the item filter background, I didn't even know that was changeable. Never occurred to me to check that.
@Captain, I don't remember. It seems I didn't save it in PSD, so I don't have the original layer. It was a stencil font.
DARKNESS 30 Jun, 2015 @ 2:09pm
The texture is fine for me and does have a "Moisture Reclaimer" label on it.
Cpt Pillowy Giant 30 Jun, 2015 @ 2:00pm
I dont think Ive built one until like 20 hours ago since DX11 haha. What font did you use for the text?
Gwindalmir  [author] 30 Jun, 2015 @ 1:51pm
Ok good. When I updated to DX11, I went and fixed that as well.
Cpt Pillowy Giant 29 Jun, 2015 @ 6:07pm
Well it never was but when I went to use it today in my base it seemed to be working. Ah well I even make the texture for it too lol.
Gwindalmir  [author] 29 Jun, 2015 @ 5:18pm
@Captain Pillowy Giant, it doesn't already?
I thought I posted the update that fixes that. I guess not.
Cpt Pillowy Giant 28 Jun, 2015 @ 1:54pm
I love this Mod and I dont think I would play without it. Though it would be great with it saying what it is 'Moisture Reclaimer' as its text on the texture I mean.
Cheese Mage 27 Jun, 2015 @ 9:06am
Like Jens LN said, moisture condenser would be a beautiful idea. Finally no more building 50 oxy tanks just to keep stealing derilicts oxy. xD
DARKNESS 20 Jun, 2015 @ 12:13pm
This is a very useful mod! Finally something useful to do with stone...

I removed the ability for the other ores besides stone to refine ice (for personal use). It is perfect now for me. Thank you for creating this.

How about a small ship moisture reclaimer?
Geneticus 19 Jun, 2015 @ 3:32am
It would be useful with planets too if we can dip into the atmosphere and compress air for use in space.
Jens LN 6 Jun, 2015 @ 2:02am
Well, oxygen is transported via conveyor to the vents, isn't it ?
Maybe look in the source for the vents to see how it works, and instead of making output air to the room, make the output ice ?

Possibly call it a "condenser" and have it work like a big radiator .. in space!
Maybe even make it the opposite of a solar panel, so that the more light that falls on it, the less efficient it is, so players have to put it in a spot where there's shade ?

Would be a pretty cool mod, I think.
Maybe bundle it with this moisture reclaimer?
Gwindalmir  [author] 6 Jun, 2015 @ 12:50am
@Geneticus, That's a good idea in theory. However I don't know if oxygen can be treated like other components wrt the conveyor system. It might require oxygen bottles. I'll look into it.
Geneticus 6 Jun, 2015 @ 12:08am
Any chance of a variant that pulls O2 from tanks and compresses it back into Ice for easier transport?
Jens LN 31 May, 2015 @ 12:38am
Excellent. :)
Gwindalmir  [author] 30 May, 2015 @ 10:17pm
@Jens LN, just updated it.
Jens LN 28 May, 2015 @ 4:33pm
I'm hoping this mod will get the Direct X 11 treatment ?
Gwindalmir  [author] 27 May, 2015 @ 6:38pm
@mid endian, it's different for each ore, based on the amount of materials refined of the base ore.
mid endian 27 May, 2015 @ 5:47pm
I don't bother with the moisture collector itself, it's pretty sweet just picking up extra ice by refining other ore. I'm curious if there's a different amount of ice for each type of ore?
Jens LN 10 May, 2015 @ 8:10am
This is an excellent mod.

Heck, I even add the moisture reclaimer to my big mining ships, so they can remove stone from my inventory. :)
Noscal 26 Apr, 2015 @ 12:25pm
this is an excellent Mod, I am using it for my very-dry survival world. If it wasn't for this mod, I would have had to hack the world and add ice. Thank you for a great addition.
Jakesnake5 25 Apr, 2015 @ 11:33am
Well now, something to do with that 15 trillion tonnes of stone I got floating about :)
delta07™ 24 Apr, 2015 @ 8:14am
@Wrec heh nice reference
cordomontagne 24 Apr, 2015 @ 2:43am
cool.
Beats-With-BothHands 23 Apr, 2015 @ 8:10pm
nice, so when planets come out you become a humble Moisture farmer in the outer rim?
