Author here, just added a notice to the description. I haven't updated the mod in more than 4 years, and I haven't played SE in like 2+ years. I'm not even sure if planets were a thing the last time I updated the mod.

I hate how mod authors always include everything except whether or not they work in both space and atmosphere. You gotta just wing it I guess.

This Mod or the original one will most likely never be updated with new models or textures, as Sage has stated on the page for the original mod that he will no longer be updating it.

@Minechief read the description he/she did not make the models textures or anything in this mod Sage made it all this person did was change the thrust colors if you want model updates ask Sage

I'll work on getting a purple variant. I have absolutely no idea how symmetry works, so if I were to fix that, it would be a while before release.

Can we get purple please? Trying to make a vulcan ship from star trek and they use purple thrusters, will use pink for now but really wouldn't mind purple.

Awesome work, but I'd love to see it getting symmetry compatible, it can be very upsetting if you cant really mirror it and then forget to turn symmetry back on ;( Keep it up!

So, I just realized that without the source files, I am unable to create hydrogen variants of the thrusters (can't add conveyor ports). I will contact Sage to see if it would be possible for me to get the source.

I will get to it soon. I've been quite busy with my Mechanical Engineering coursework recently; Maybe this weekend. Additionally, I will update them to bring the functions in line with recent changes to the game mechanics.

I may get around to that. I haven't played SE too much lately and haven't kept close tabs on changes in soe of the updates, but I probably will once they release planets.

Are you planning to add <ResourceSinkGroup> to all of these thrusters so that they don't shut down the ship when they overload reactors?

@Rivery: The thrusters are balanced for both large and small ships to have 3x the thrust and power consumption of their respective grid vanilla large thrusters.

Sorry that it's been a while - It's been a while since I've played SE. As of now, I have no plans to add a black flame, as it physically makes no sense. I will attempt to rebalance the power usage in the xml definitions. As for the flame issues, the files do have a definition for thruster damage - so it must be a problem with the model files, which I do not have source files for; thus I cannot fix it at this time

As I've said, I do not have source files for the mod as the models, textures etc. belong to EctoSage; additionally, I do not have much knowlege of SE modding - I just edited some files in a text editor. Unfortunately, Sage has stated he has no plans to update his IT mod further.

@CaptainHero: First off, I did not create anything included in this mod; all of the models, textures, and xml are made by EctoSage. The values that I edited do not affect the thrust magnitude - they only change the color of the flame. The thrust is the same as listed on Sage's original mod. As for the clipping issue, I only have the ability to change the variables in xml files; the clipping would be an issue with the actual model, and I do not have the source files. You should contact Sage on the original "Industrial Thruster" item if you want it fixed.

Nice looking and works great! It makes theose dumb looking thrusters more respectable. The vanilla thrusters look like something from the 1950's space race.

Question, the Wiki says says the thrust of the large thruster is 1,815,000 N. You said you trippled this? So the thrust is 5,445,000 N? If so, this is most powerful thruster I can find. Also being more compact in size than many others make it an obvious choice.

I did find an odd, error I guess you can call it where if I land my small miner on the thruster for docking, (being so large) my landing gears go through the surface of the thruster before allowing me to dock to it. Picture my landing gear being inside the thruster before I touch the surface for docking.
