No judgement from me of course lol
Great mod, btw.
When I started this mod several years back, I never expected to recieve any attention, and I didn't make this mod to get any, either. I just made it because I thought it was a cool idea.
Fast forward to now, and PC Gamer features it in a mod list. That's nothing short of incredible.
Thanks for telling me. I'm elated that it happened!
Woohoo Congrats! :D
I loved the first borderlands game, but having THIS kind of texture in a dungeon game that has "not so good" graphics from launch has greatly made me wanna come back to playing this game again.
I haven't touched this game since 2010..
Saw the title of this mod and thought... why the hell not take I look I was looking for an improvement to graphics/details anyways and boom the first mod that stood out was "ink'd" and I was like: "eh, maybe it'll just be another generic mod again", but then I saw the detail in the environment and the entire gameplay overall stood out much better than the original game graphics I've been stuck with have.
Very happy to have found a great improvement to most of the game, hopefully we can get some modders who can maybe put diablo 1, 2, or even D3 characters in the game for playable classes especially for halloween if possible.
Overall thank you.
thx for making this and the gloom mod.
I'm glad to hear that you like the art, and hope you enjoy!
Thank you and well done!
Anyways - great mod, but i got bug. It doesnt displayes in list of mods for me (in game) oO There was steam bug, when torchlight uninstalled itself after subscribe mod - then, after reinstall, i got that. I tryed to redownload/restrart steam, but it stays same :/
1. I don't play many mods, surprisingly. The only mods I use are graphical, which makes it difficult for me to judge which "conventional" mod I should or should not retexture. (If I did, it would probably be Synergies and FEP due to the size of their respective user bases.)
2. Unlike TL2, (most) mods keep getting updated. This means I would need to stay on top of any new textures included in these mod packages I don't use.
3. I have reservations about modding mods, because, in my mind, I need to ask permission to reuse and modify the original modder's files. This adds another development hurdle. While I doubt many modders would have a problem with it, it's likely they will be difficult to contact. I've tried in the past for various reasons with strictly dismal results.
With that said, that isn't an absolute "no." I'll be looking into contacting Salan and Zyph in the next few weeks.
Borderlands doesn't use cel shading at all. Its visuals are just comic book/graphic novel-ish looking textures and exaggerated character models.
