i wonder if its possible to make this thing a hybrid of hydrogen and ion, so it can be atmospheric as well
Puro the Cosmic Industrialist 10 Dec, 2022 @ 10:50am
Nvm went through the hanger lol
Puro the Cosmic Industrialist 10 Dec, 2022 @ 10:47am

GOLDENSOLO 14 Oct, 2022 @ 5:32am
makes me wish id asked now,,They still love your ship mate may be due for its 2022 Service and revamping :selike:
JD.Horx  [author] 12 Oct, 2022 @ 1:56pm
Sure, do it!
Apex09 11 Oct, 2022 @ 6:53pm
hey I really like this ship and I was wondering if i could revamp it for just myself
JD.Horx  [author] 15 Jul, 2020 @ 10:00am
They are decoration only. Back in the days we had only those few blocks, so....
doverbeck 14 Jul, 2020 @ 9:17pm
question for you, I see there are several program blocks etc. on board took while to build ship but am hoping to enjoy it, is there perticular scrip to run? I always seem to fall short in this area.
KindestSTCR 5 Jul, 2020 @ 10:52am
Yeah.
JD.Horx  [author] 4 Jul, 2020 @ 1:38pm
I guess that’s difficult to balance. But yes indeed I would love to have one. But it should be like 200 meters long or at least quite long.
KindestSTCR 4 Jul, 2020 @ 1:10pm
Lets crusade on keen and make them add a Mac.
JD.Horx  [author] 28 Jun, 2020 @ 5:56am
yes, but sadly we have no vanilla mac.
KindestSTCR 27 Jun, 2020 @ 6:40pm
Well, if it is a UNSC based ship, time to add the almighty MAC.
JD.Horx  [author] 6 Mar, 2020 @ 4:36pm
Of course, the PoA is like its sister ship a refitted Halcyon-class cruiser.
Blacktop15 3 Mar, 2020 @ 7:00pm
@JD.Horx, I was looking at this and was just wondering if by any chance you took insperation from the UNSC pillar of autumn? https://www.google.com/search?q=UNSC+pillar+of+autumn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiCh-7s6f_nAhWKt54KHY2PAskQ_AUoAXoECA8QAw&biw=1004&bih=617#imgrc=s7QCZJsZPp4VVM

This ship is pretty much the best thing I found on the workshop to slap railguns on:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1431583896

The front missile launchers get replaced with railguns and can be aimed with the camera, top layer is tiered allowing for 2 rail gun turrets to fit perfectly and the conveyor belts are already in place. There is sufficient room to add additional reactors and batteries to deal with the recharge draw.

The build is well planned out and logical making it easy to modify without annoying conveyor separations - plus the shape makes it very easy to strap more crap on without making it look ugly.
JD.Horx  [author] 1 Jan, 2020 @ 12:43am
lol, never even thought about that this ship is in fact a donut
Jhtpo 24 Dec, 2019 @ 9:32am
Funny enough, this ship is super survivable against player made missiles. They tend to target the center of a grid, and with the hangars being right in the middle, missiles keep targeting an empty area. With the spaced armor keeping the two halves connected around the damaged area, and no seriously vital systems compromised, its more than capable of tanking the hits and retreating.
JD.Horx  [author] 17 Nov, 2019 @ 5:25pm
Thanks for letting me know! :D I was updating the mk 3 in the last weeks. Dont know when it will be done, there is still a lot more work necessary.
WardenWolf 17 Nov, 2019 @ 11:40am
Still love this ship. Just did a DLC refit on it with the new catwalks and stairs, which DRAMATICALLY improve the bridge and engineering spaces. The armory actually got armory lockers, too. Modifying this ship is still far easier than the Mk. III because the Mk. III, despite being larger, has everything packed together much more tightly such that it's hard to change one thing without affecting others.
JD.Horx  [author] 16 Oct, 2019 @ 3:24pm
Thanks a lot. Seems it became a classic eventually.
braddon85 30 Sep, 2019 @ 3:50am
This ship in my opinion, is the best ship on the work shop. It looks good. It not too big, not too small. Has everything you need. It's roomy enough that you can gut it and completely redesign the interior. It has a low PCU so you can actually play with it. It's well thought out, has spaced armour. Light external, heavy internal. Staggered and surround turrets. Awesome ship!
JD.Horx  [author] 30 Jul, 2019 @ 4:52pm
Nah.. no planets
I N D R A 30 Jul, 2019 @ 9:04am
This mothership can work in athmosferic planets?
StarCpt 27 Jul, 2019 @ 5:07pm
Probably modeled after the Halcyon Class Cruiser, more commonly known as the UNSC Pillar of Autumn
TeXnik_240 15 Jul, 2019 @ 12:58am
THATS FUCKING HALO SHIP!
WardenWolf 15 Mar, 2019 @ 7:45am
My personal tribute, that I included on my last refit. Decided the ship needed a fighter as tough as the Cerberus herself, so here's a Wolf Industries Devastator Mk IV repainted in IMDC colors:

She may not be the prettiest thing in the world, but she fits in the hangar and she's all heavy armor.
JD.Horx  [author] 12 Mar, 2019 @ 7:59am
Thanks! Really should give it some attention, after all these years people still find these old things
LeeTheFlea 12 Mar, 2019 @ 7:32am
Found this as a pirate ship in a server, took it over, very nice ship!
WardenWolf 9 Mar, 2019 @ 6:10pm
Just finished a fairly significant no-mods refit, adding a bridge airlock, improving turret field of fire, and improving signage, among other things. If you look, you might find a little surprise in the hangar bay. . . https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1678456088
JD.Horx  [author] 7 Mar, 2019 @ 4:00pm
always happy when people enjoy even my oldest designs, maybe I should give her some love again too
LordZ 7 Mar, 2019 @ 3:42pm
so... i gave your old gal Cerberus a redesign (a few moremore turrets, an extra deck with hydrogen engines for better edge of planet gravity resistance and a double layer of armour) and she managed to go up against 2 normal Cerberus destroyers then another one right after that fight.

even with 80-90% bent, rented and buckled armour and missing a few engines she was still battle worthy, hell she took out 2 more Cerberus destroyers after that. XD

JD.Horx  [author] 5 Feb, 2019 @ 6:31pm
Thanks for your honest review , appreciated!
WardenWolf 4 Feb, 2019 @ 3:39pm
Honestly, after having worked with both the Mk II and III extensively, I kind of prefer the Mk II. It's more survivable, not reliant on hydrogen, and has much better direct-frontal firepower due to turrets that don't interfere with each other. Broadside is comparable. The Mk II is also a smaller target and potentially more nimble (with a few minor upgrades). I mean, don't get me wrong, they're completely different ships, only sharing the name and similar styling, but it's hard to beat this ship's potential.

I DID wind up building something that can one-shot it (potentially snapping it in half), but it's a MASSIVE planetary-launched homing missile that could honestly hulk anything in one shot; it takes a superweapon to kill this thing.
JD.Horx  [author] 5 Dec, 2018 @ 2:07am
Thanks guys :3
GOLDENSOLO 5 Dec, 2018 @ 12:03am
Glad to see your still getting well earned acalades for your wonderful ship.........keep this up and you will beat the immersive sweetroll posts:steamhappy:
Grizz Baldursson 4 Dec, 2018 @ 11:39pm
i tink the deveplers took this ship and used it for a space pirate spawn, looks identical, same name and everything. it looked really cool so i saved it to a blueprint
Pinky Pinkerton The Third 17 Feb, 2018 @ 10:02pm
It really is an amazing ship... I started with a red ship, and have been adding these ships to the red ship. I currently have three of these suckers attached to the red ship. One in the front of the red ship, and one on each side. The weapons, armor, and speed at which this can get up to quickly makes it ideal for raiding large targets. I added a few engines to the sides to allow even faster sideways movements and now the damn thing is near impossible to accuratly hit. Turrets are having a hard time hitting these. This is honestly my favorite ship so far. Very well thought out and designed. The remote control block though is kinda annoying when you cant remember where its at. XD
JD.Horx  [author] 10 Feb, 2018 @ 12:55pm
Well, a big small grid torpedo will kill it or at least penetrate.
WardenWolf 10 Feb, 2018 @ 12:15pm
I did some thorough tests with modded weapons against the Cerberus. The level of damage inflicted by 4 salvos of 5 of CMDBob's torpedoes against the same spot can be best-described as "annoying" to repair, but the heavy armor was not breached and the ship remained airtight except for the hangar. I maintain that the ship, when in motion, is basically unkillable with vanilla weaponry. You may be able to take out its weapons, but you won't be able to breach the hull without a LOT of time and effort, during which it would probably jump away in multiplayer. It's an absolutely superb ship. And the ambience of the interiors really makes it.
WardenWolf 3 Feb, 2018 @ 8:32pm
Not immune, but damn near so. I examined it pretty thoroughly because I was tweaking it with mods to be a more usable ship (tiered thrusters and CMDBob's plasma turrets). Honestly, with the way the game is balanced right now, this ship, in motion, is basically unkillable with vanilla weaponry unless you manage to get right behind it and snipe out the main engines.
JD.Horx  [author] 3 Feb, 2018 @ 2:56pm
Thanks! The Cerberus can be pretty tough, but it still is not immune to turret sniping!
WardenWolf 3 Feb, 2018 @ 1:55pm
So I found the version that was put into the game as a cargo ship, and went looking for the original creator so I could give my compliments. I gotta say, I'm VERY impressed with your armoring scheme. It's genius. Outer sacrificial light armor plates connected to the heavy armor inner hull by way of blast door pieces, which don't deform and thus don't transfer damage. This ship is nearly indestructible with vanilla weapons.
Pinky Pinkerton The Third 7 Dec, 2017 @ 5:45am
Found it... Turns out i destroyed it when i blew up the whole front of the ship... I had to reload. Ty

I found the remote control Block! Its a bit hard to explain with words; when you face the front of the ship in the hangar area, on your right there will be a black part of the wall (a gap betwene the hangar doors). If you dig the floor down 1 block you should see the remote control (its 1 or 2 block back from the black wall area).
Pinky Pinkerton The Third 6 Dec, 2017 @ 5:09pm
Ive been trying to find the remote control block off of what you said, can you perhaps take a ss or be a little more descriptive? Ive destroyed the entire front half and hanger sections and still cant fly it due to remote control block.
JD.Horx  [author] 14 May, 2017 @ 1:07am
Find the remote control block, then you should be able to use it.
Scavenger 13 May, 2017 @ 6:57pm
i cant fly this thing... ive taken over every single part of the ship but a single cargo container, and completely ground down and replaced the flight seats and control station.
Thrusters wont fire, gyros wont work
Artsy Astra 12 Dec, 2016 @ 1:06pm
This looks like a halcyon class cruiser from Halo, it's a very nice take on the design.
