Connecting to a big ship rotor results in the buggy becoming a nuclear warhead.

@Hunter 495 - I realize I'm a year late but...Power Source? Thing runs on batteries, and connectors need POWER to connect as of some patch some time ago on both ends (which i'm assuming applies also to rotors). I don't see any exterior reactors and batteries start with VERY LITTLE charge - so much so now adays that if you build the battery first and leave it in the default mode it will drain before you complete the vehicle in survival.

@MGE I tried, that doesn't work, at least for me

Thanks, but it will be much better to add heavy two-seat version with 5x5 wheels to avoid this problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPnLdNJU2Xw

Hello there, this thing is awesome :)! I featured it in the latest SE update video because I thought it looked so nice. Your buggy is officially one of the first wheeled creations to drive on planets :D:.

@Huntermist - what do you mean? 2 fighter cockpits or 2 open seats?
Huntermist 19 Jul, 2015 @ 5:43pm
ohhhh can you make a desert 2 seater buggy?
GRAYFOX 17 Jul, 2015 @ 2:36pm
@MGELeonserGT true they can imply many things but as long as there are still weapons in game, and people who can use them war will come. i for one welcome the challenge. colonizing is one thing but how can you protect what you have without violence? i can see some very cool scenarios coming from this whole planets update, trade, exploration, piracy, war. its all part of one big package. just think about it some of the biggest conflicts in sci-fi history started out because of a trade deal gone wrong or a botched first contact. (star wars the phantom menace and Halo first contact i am referencing here) not to mention this update brings about an eve of technological wonder, with planets cities could emerge. as well as new vehicles for mining etc. all in all its going to be super super cool and im super pysched for it :D

it somehow puts me in mind of jack and daxters buggy from from J&D combat racing.. but thats just me :P
LeonserGT  [author] 17 Jul, 2015 @ 2:03am
@Entersprite, @GRAYFOX: it's just some kind of peaceful period now, back in my days™ there was a lot of warships of all sorts and colours :P
I think, it's because of upcoming planets - implying that colonization is peaceful thing :D
Entersprite 16 Jul, 2015 @ 11:14pm
@GRAYFOX: Check the first page of the workshop anytime. You will see a lot of civilian ships and ground transports, and a few nicely made warship, most of them are replicas of famous movie icons. As long as net code is not released yet, people will rather play on survive than shooting each other. When 1.100 will get released, I'm sure war machines and battle ships become popular.
GRAYFOX 16 Jul, 2015 @ 3:23pm
war will always be popular entersprite, that what you forget. as long as there are two people competing there will be conflict. so arm up people. unless you hippy pansies want to get raided and be undefended? also brilliant design can see its millitary applications already.
LeonserGT  [author] 16 Jul, 2015 @ 2:03pm
Entersprite 16 Jul, 2015 @ 9:58am
Definetely :)
LeonserGT  [author] 16 Jul, 2015 @ 6:43am
I had civilian version of APC without turret and stuff, may be I should upload it too? :D
Entersprite 16 Jul, 2015 @ 6:23am
This buggy looks awesome, nice job!
By the way, war machines are not popular nowadays, maybe that's why your APC is less successful. Everyone is preparing for peace times and planets :) But I subscribed on it as well, both are nice concepts.
LeonserGT  [author] 14 Jul, 2015 @ 2:17pm
Hah, top-page magic :D
JD.Horx 14 Jul, 2015 @ 11:25am
dont know, just saw this on the first pages... I usually dont have enough time to get deeper within the workshop...
however, good job ;)
LeonserGT  [author] 14 Jul, 2015 @ 5:51am
I made this within 10 mins, Rattlesnake APC I made for 2 days, why Jackal is more popular? :(
JD.Horx 13 Jul, 2015 @ 2:07pm
This is a really simple but so well done design! I might steal some ideas and details, its too neat.
+1
