I think I found another reason why it doesn't work... Namely, I was in Sandbox Mode, and apparently this is made for TTT. But there seems to be a glitch anyways.

If possible, could you please make one for other game-modes too? Just a suggestion.
TheWitheredStriker 15 Nov, 2017 @ 9:04am
All right, no problem. I hope the patch goes well. :)

It seems it is broken since one of the more recent Gmod updates... I'll try to have a look at fixing it.

I really can't find it. There is no tab named "Drowning Indicator" anywhere in the F1 Menu.
Moe  [author] 2 Nov, 2017 @ 10:56am
When you are on a server with this addon installed, just press F1 and in the window that opens there will be a tab called "Drowning Indicator" where everything is located :)
TheWitheredStriker 2 Nov, 2017 @ 10:34am
I can't find it in the F1 Menu either, sorry. Where exactly is it located?
Moe  [author] 2 Nov, 2017 @ 10:30am
There will be no settings.txt in (...)/data/drowning_indicator/settings.txt as long as you did not actually change anything in the F1 menu and clicked save. You can force the settings.txt to appear by joining a server which has this addon and then changing the settings. Or you subscribe to it personally (So the subscribe button on this page has a checkmark next to it) and start a local TTT server to achieve the same.

I'm sorry to bother but the drowning indicator isn't in the garrysmod data folder and I can't find the settings.txt thing when opening it in the addons folder. Could you please help me?
Moe  [author] 31 Oct, 2017 @ 12:33pm
The settings are stored in (GarrysMod/garrysmod/)data/settings.txt, so you need to put the settings there
D1.yt 31 Oct, 2017 @ 7:09am
or should it be located in addons/drowning_indicator/data/drowning_indicator/settings.txt ?
D1.yt 31 Oct, 2017 @ 7:07am
so the settings are located in addons/drowning_indicator/settings.txt ?
D1.yt 31 Oct, 2017 @ 6:34am
thanks :)

@CRAN You can go to following folder: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\data\drowning_indicator
and copy YOUR settings.txt from that folder and create a very small addon, which contains a folder called "drowning_indicator" and inside you copy your settings.txt. Then simply install the addon on your server such that all clients download it.

I left the F1 menu especially for the reason, that there are different HUDs and monitor sizes / resolutions.
D1.yt 31 Oct, 2017 @ 2:13am
I'm using a custom hud on my server and I want to give everyone custom default settings. Is there a way for this without guiding everyone into the F1 settings?

@GMN | Knuth Morris Pratt thanks mate, i'll look at it when i startup my server again

Moe  [author] 16 Apr, 2017 @ 4:59am
@Mint if you press F1 while on a server, you can change to the settings tab for the addon and change size and position of the indicator to fit to your hud :)
Dead 15 Apr, 2017 @ 10:04pm
the drowning indicator is inside the transparent role box, any way to fix?
Moe  [author] 3 Aug, 2016 @ 8:19am
Player:Health > 0 ersetzen durch Player:Alive()

Min 10 May, 2016 @ 7:02am
Yes, it works fine.
[XKR] TuXEKRO 9 May, 2016 @ 4:21pm
The addon is functioning properly?
Das Addon ordnungsgemäß funktioniert?
El addon está en correcto funcionamiento?
Moe  [author] 27 Jan, 2016 @ 5:06am
Moe  [author] 2 Oct, 2015 @ 4:39am
@Huntbud For now I made it only work in TTT, because some gamemodes might come with a different system. I have not yet seen the need to make it better yet, however I might add a config file in which you can change which gamemodes are allowed to use this.
JokieEJester 1 Oct, 2015 @ 4:31pm
does it have to be used for ttt or can you use it in sandbox too
