Report a translation problem
Okay so my friend and I are playing with this character. Randomly - Wyvard just dies. There was absolutely no problem occurred and most importantly it was caused by "Shenanigans" meaning it was an unknown death. There may be a bug about this character if you could look at it.
1) If you die while overheated from using R, you'll keep the heated overlay and sounds even if you're not overheating. Reconnecting fixes this.
2) Standing near multiple shaved beefalo causes Wyvard's health to start dropping quickly as if starving
3) Hounds and Tentacles are inconsistent with Wyvard's code of chivalry; often times while these monsters are currently aggroed onto him, he will still lose 5 sanity while trying to fight back. This makes it increasingly difficult to kill a Tentacle because even with a tentacle spike, one fight costs him ~30 sanity. Hounds only do this when they enter their barking animation after attempting to bite Wyvard.
Also, might I suggest changing the code of chivalry passive to only lowering sanity if wyvard's attack strikes a target? This would make it easier to hunt things like butterflies, as currently you could be losing 10-15 sanity per butterfly kill if you aren't the best at it.
We're using some other mods, but they don't seem to do that. I'll try and test Wyvard by himself.
I have a poor internet connection so I cannot test things like this myself. Do other character mods do this? Do you have any mods installed with custom sound effects that do not have this problem?
I've considered it but I'd rather not give Wyvard fire-based abilities. I want that to remain Willow's specialty.

So Wyvard shouldn't take a sanity penalty if he's defending a friend? Good idea! I'll look into implementing that for v1.0.6.
If I can make one comment though, whenever I play and decide to save a friend from spiders or hounds I go insane because I attack an enemy not attacking me, but attacking a friend.
Would this ever change? It's the only downside to him :)
As long as a creature is targeting you or Chester, you will never take a sanity penalty from attacking it. A chivalrous knight never attacks an unprepared foe. :)
I want to keep Wyvard simple like the existing vanilla characters. There are also lots of mods out there if you want to add a levelling system to DST.

As of v1.0.5 I believe the issue has been fixed. I forgot to include an important line of code that forced everyone on the server to download a copy of the mod.
