Thanks, randomcrits! I may just do that. The map has very little cover, so it's really difficult to avoid being spotted during the run... that may mean that adding ranged guards pushes the difficulty too high. That said, making the change + giving it a spin can't hurt!

One of the best well-made maps i've ever played! Once you pick up the crossbow, you are invincible, so maybe you could add some more firepower to the guards or alarms. Otherwise, you could just rush around KOing all the guards and stealing all the loot.

Every once in a while I do. It's not something I actively work on all the time--it's all on a whim. So the next one could come out next week, or next year, or never. It's hard to tell.

On the other hand, I do have other workshop maps. This one is easily the best I've made, but The Opera is pretty good. Go ahead and give it a try. :)

I'm not done with The Opera--it's an interesting map, but something feels wrong about it. If you have any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them.

This is an incredibly fun map. After wading through all the bad ones I thought I'd never find another good one such as this. Great job.

I'm gonna try letting the wandering civilians into the right side, then. It'll make it possible to move around in the main square without suffering constant alerts, and hopefully make the right side more interesting.

I've experimented with a variety of alarms, etc on the right side, but due to the layout, they end up being really awkward. Should I maybe just rework that whole area? I could do a series of vertical tents, instead of horizontal ones...

I'm late to get back to you on this, but I think you hit the theme really well for this one. Personally, though, I find rhe bottom left to be the most interesting area to move around in, so I kind of wish you spawned there or on at an approach to that area. The rightside can feel more "empty" than "open" , especially if you cause a big ruckuss by alerting civilians or with the alarms. I'm not sure how to put dangerous things there that can't be pulled out of the area though...

Map is fine, one qualm I have is that there are three tropies on one shelf where one would suffice.
