this mod looks great, but i had a problem with it. it made my game stop me from clicking with the mouse once i entered the restoration zone, please fix it as i think this mod looks awesome so far

Really good mod.

My only complaint is that some blue birds in the background fly backwards. Kinda funny.

I like most of the new additions, althought to be honest the shuttle texture isn't really improved... I looked at it with an image editing software and it seems to be simply upscaled, and the jagged edges show almost even more due to this. Any chance of a replacement texture that's not as jagged-looking..?

I agree with others that Telos should have that bland, dead planet look for the story. However after several playthroughs with the game as normal, it was SO nice going through again with the updated texturing. Background mountains and clouds look amazing. Solid work, glad I tried it out!

I think they're too long, but I think the ground shouldn't look as lush as it does in the mod in general, since you're on ground fairly early in the restoration.

@Reggie's Proprietary Cyber Yolk: If may I ask, what exactly you dislike about the grass sprites? Are tthey too big/long or something? Or you just don't like them in general? ;-) ...if you really don't like the sprites, you can either turn this off in the game menu, or delete "tel_grassfx.tga" in "\steamapps\workshop\content\208580\493836405\Override" to restore the original one. :-) (it might get restored if I update the mod though)

I love it. A good upgrade from the old testures. Dont listen to the haters that expect it to be like modern graphics... Although I dont care for the "long grass" variation. The standard version is great, though. Would love to see resolution upgrades for other planets such as Korriban and Dxun

IMO the original grass fits the game's idea of Telos being a dying world in need of restoration much better. Plus, the long grass sprites are hideous.

Going off screenshots this resolution increase just seems to make everything rather dull, and that is because the objects themselves are still low-poly objects and there is no post-processing in place to add detail or shadow maps, I mean some simple Ambient Occlusion would make this a completely cool mod for example.. Not sure I'm a fan in this state.

The grass is an improvement, but the cliffs appear flat as paper. It lost all depth and releastic natural design. The snow, while looks softer, also lost all depth and texture in the crash sight, which is really stupid. I want to like this, but it needs some serious work.

@AsunaYuuki: I thought I already said that here somewhere, but I probably forgot to finish my post. So I will say it now: Once the mod is finished, I will make other versions with smaller textures and also I will do recolores of this mod so everyone can choose. I just currently don't have any time for the mod.

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit too defensive about this earlier, I didn't mean it that way. English is not exactly my thing...

I think this mod is awsome, it's exactly as green as it should be, and every time I get to this part of the game I'm glad I've it :)

Many of the other people have said this too, but the only real way to describe what's wrong with this mod is that it's "too green". Also, it makes the game unplayable. Not sure if you knew this or not but according to the steam hardware survey in March, only about 33% of people have >1024mb of video ram. Very confused as to why you're so adamant about not downsizing the texture. Sure the game looks great... but it is unplayable for the vast majority of people. If you were a videogame company, you'd go bankrupt. Besides, this game is what, 10 years old? If someone is still willing to play a 10 year old game, graphics probably aren't their first concern.

TL;DR?: reduce the texture size bro

To make a good texture in not to just make it look pritty you need to reduce the size around in MB for a 4k texture to also make it work.
Cose if you did retexture the whole game it would most likely hawe around 80 Gb or more and i dont think thats good.

The second thing is you are puting a 4k Texture on a object that is not larger then 500px what do you think will hapenn whit the texture when it is Renderd ? It will be resized to match the object thats why 4k is to mutch for this game i am doing mine around 1k and its planty,

And you are right new games use 4k textures just not in TGA format mostly its a variation of a JPEG or PNG but hey go ahead and extract one of the High res textures from one of the latest games and compare i wonder if you find one that has 40Mb.

Definition of DPi Dot Pre Inch 2 sub categoris "Pixel/inch" or bigger one "pixel/CM" your txtures are using the first one at last.

The thing i have benn getting at was that the Game use's Uncompressed TGA format for textures
unlike JPEG whit that res would only have between 3,5 to 4,5 Mb but TGA is a different format that is why they hawe 40MB and ther is the problem whit the V-ram or Ram depending on how mutch some one have .

@G-aro 64 [svk]: 4K means the pixel count of texture (4096x4096 pixels) and it is the normal size used for high quality and high resolution textures in games. DPI is 72 and it has nothing to do with the size. JPG format can't be used and I would never use it for anything even if I could. And I can see huge difference ingame between 4096x4096 and 2048x2048. Anyway, this is what it is 4K textures for the game and I'm not going to change that.

Oh and if the game would use JPG foramt then it would propably work smooth the thig is TGA files dont hawe any compesion on it its like a RAW file thats why they are so big like 40 MB

this are not 4k textures but 40k thats why ther is a VRAM problem.
To put so huge textures on so smal object is like puting bilbord pages on a small stick.

I actualy resized them to be around 4 MB 1024 dpi ther is no difference in game evean if you resize them to 512 dpi ther wont be any only thing it will run smoth whitout any VRAM problems also ppl whont nead to download a 800 MB mood

But all in all nice textures GJ just reconsider the size

I'm currently working on new cliff texture(old texture will be available as alternative) and beach sand textures, I hope to release them soon. :)
Unfortunately the transition texture between grass and sand appears to have some filtering problems and I can't do anything about it.

@Misser Saïd: First check if you have the latest graphics driver, if don't then update the driver. If that won't fix it(or you already have latest drivers) then try to unsubscribe the mod, delete content of this folder if it isn't deleted: \steamapps\workshop\content\208580\493836405\ and resubscribe to the mod. Wait 'til it is downloaded and check ingame again. If it is still as you described, then try this mod without any other mod(if you use them, there might be some incompatibility but I it shouldn't be) or you might need to reinstall the game. If none of this helped you to fix your problem, than I'm afraid I can't do anything more to help you :( Please let me know if you succeded in fixing it :)
