The TX-43 line of ships have been replaced in function by the LCS-062-A "dayne"-class ships, as the Arclight was getting quite dated.
The Arclight was built to have more firepower than other CAF ships of that era (still with a heavy focus on point defense and gatling turrets), to have the ability to land fighters, to have superior engineering access (hence the ARCL Mk I reactor layout), have lighter armor and a smaller profile than the ships it functionally replaced (the antique "Rampancy"-class and "Darcy"-class), as well as being a test-case for a new thruster and reactor layout.
The Original Arclight was built from a scuttled G07EC-041C and CAP07-297C, it was built to be compatible with the then-standard docking arrangement that was used on CAF ships.
The LCD's are still setup for the old Automatic LCD script, which is outdated. All the LCD's would need to be updated to use the newer version, as well as the "custom data".
i had an updated version ready to release, but my old computer died, taking the ship with it.
I'm currently rebuilding the updated version :D
Always glad to hear when people like my ships.
