Love the broken mod buddy.

Does this still work? I guess since it uses smallship gatling's model, it might've automatically gotten the new model?
Wilmur 14 Jan, 2017 @ 4:53pm
this mod need uptade!

In high speed the gun burned up, and tired to repair them all the time.

Gotta retract my previous statement, laser sight worked fine, just built my ship with a block in the way lol. No issue at all. Love this mod.

Great mod Ravenbolt! Only thing I have to report is the laser sight occasionally getting stuck in the model (it appears near the end of the barrel and doesn't project to the target) but it's really no problem since I have them mounted right beside my targetting camera anyway. It's not that annoying so feel free to save yourself the effort of fixing it.

Thank you for this Ravenbolt. Let the haters like Redham fester in their basements where they belong.

@Ludovsky I read up on the differences between cannons and guns a while back (because I was bored, of course,) and apparently according to modern weapons lingo, the terms "gun" or "artillery" are the accurate descriptions of any sort of chemically powered, projectile-launching tube, be they a 9mm pistol or an 18" battleship gun. So calling it a gatiling or rotary "gun" is technically correct, though I wouldn't say that it is any better than "cannon." I do have the same feeling as you do about the terms, though. When I think "gun," I think of weapons on the smaller end of the calibre scale, and conversely, when I think "cannon," I think of the really big ones. It all boils down to semantics though, so... Ravenbolt gets to decide. :D
Ludovsky 14 Oct, 2015 @ 12:03pm
I actually don't dislike the look of this. Maybe it could be renamed gatling cannon or rotary cannon though since at this size the term "gun" is a bit misfitting

@Johnald P.Redham. You don't have to be so rude about it. People wanted me to fix the backwards facing laser sight. I did! Now the block is correct with the only downside that the users have to replace those blocks the first time they enter their game. I put hours in to making this mod and time for bugfixing. If you don't like me fixing stuff for you, be my guest and hit the unsubscribe button. I wont miss you.

I don't think it was OP. I liked it as it was before the rebalance, ok range, decent firepower, good accuracy (since sights are offset a bit, most guns are a bit innacurate in this game).
Dr. Novikov 1 Sep, 2015 @ 7:29am
It is OP. Makes rocket launchers obsolete. Can snipe turrets from far away. Needs less damage and some bullet spread. This accuracy should belong to a slower firing cannon with slower projectiles.

Cool, that would help aiming a little
Ravenbolt  [author] 29 Aug, 2015 @ 11:44am
@Captain Yeah I have noticed that. Not intended, it seems that when blender imports the original model it gets flipped 180. I will try to fix it when I get the time.
Daniel L Parry 29 Aug, 2015 @ 8:40am
These are great, but i did notice something, the red aiming dots appear to project backwards , is this intentional ?
Ravenbolt  [author] 17 Aug, 2015 @ 1:43am
@XXX It should be. It uses a large version of the buildstates and the ammo can be produced in the assembler.
XuXiaoXian 16 Aug, 2015 @ 9:29pm
is this survival ready?
Hemza 15 Aug, 2015 @ 6:10am
Love the reduced fire rate!
Feels like a large gatling cannon.
Good job Ravenbolt!
Ravenbolt  [author] 14 Aug, 2015 @ 4:35pm
Have any soundclip I can have? :D
Admiral_Gravleos 14 Aug, 2015 @ 4:33pm
25mm M242 Bushmaster
Ravenbolt  [author] 14 Aug, 2015 @ 2:42pm
@Askon, I will look in to a rebalance of fire speed etc. :)

@D4RTH40ER Which sound is that? From what weapon?
Admiral_Gravleos 14 Aug, 2015 @ 12:32pm
Ok here's an idea, make it have a slower firerate, more damage and have a 25 mm cannon sound.
Askon Martin 13 Aug, 2015 @ 7:44am
Yes decrease the Firerate
more Damage
And maybe costum sound
more umpf for the bigger round :D
Hemza 13 Aug, 2015 @ 12:43am
It also needs a huge decrease in firerate, In my opinion.
Hemza 12 Aug, 2015 @ 5:00pm
@Ravenbolt At most 250m, minimum 100.
Ravenbolt  [author] 12 Aug, 2015 @ 11:00am
@Geoffrey. The range is the same. How much longer should be able to fire? Let me know what you think! :D
Askon Martin 12 Aug, 2015 @ 8:20am
@Ravenbolt
Thanks! :D
Great mod <3
Hemza 12 Aug, 2015 @ 6:33am
Is the range increased to compliment the larger round?
Shrubbery 12 Aug, 2015 @ 4:29am
@EveCommander You were also wrong as the area is only 25x bigger, the volume is 125 times bigger. :)
Ravenbolt  [author] 12 Aug, 2015 @ 1:10am
@[FEC] Askon. Fixed! :D
Askon Martin 11 Aug, 2015 @ 6:23pm
I habe a problem :(
In survival
When i produce the ammo its converting to the normal Gatling ammo.
There is the 25x184mm.
And when i produce the 125x920, the ammo gets convertet to the smaller one.
But still takes more time to build and more materials.
Any help or response would be great
Corrupted QAi 11 Aug, 2015 @ 4:18pm
thank you
Acarii 11 Aug, 2015 @ 4:14pm
I just wanted to be a ass and point out your claim of it being '5 times bigger' is wrong. It's area is 125x, and scaling generally considers area rather then diameter. :P
Ravenbolt  [author] 11 Aug, 2015 @ 11:26am
@EveCommander. I used the diameter of the barrel and ammo to scale the damage up. The barrel have 5 time higher diameter. And I you said a gatling gun with 125 times the damage would make all other weapons useless. :P
Acarii 11 Aug, 2015 @ 11:07am
This is 125x larger, not 5x.

It takes 5^3 (that's 5x5x5 or 5->25->125) small blocks to fill a large ship block.
As for scaled internal values, a small armour block consists of 1 steel plate. Conversely, a large armour block is 25 panels. Due to how the game calculates durability and mass this means that a large block is 5^2(or 25x) times stronger, despite it's area taking up 5^3

It looks like you're attempting to scale up but otherwise keep the values relatively the same. This should cost and deal damage at a rate of 25x if the scaling holds. However, this may obviously be incredibly overpowered even with bullet costs and volume being scaled as well.

Aye! For Science!
Dreamz 11 Aug, 2015 @ 7:33am
I would refit my War Frigate with this, but I only just uploaded it, and it would require a bit more of a rework on the front than I'd like...

Still, I like, and I need some of these... For science. :D

@ToxicSh0ckWave Thank you! Yeah I know, wierd right? :P
Gimli 11 Aug, 2015 @ 5:45am
Wow! Good work. Surprised nobody made this before xD
