Horizon Clock

@Thuztor Your mod were still working Build 41 when i last played.

I've gotten the same comments on my mods to "update" without any bug report - or reason to do so. Probably something in unstable build 42 that breaks mods and people play it as if it was the stable branch.

I'm not gonna bother updating or fixing things until B42 is officially released as TIS could introduce additional things that breaks functionality. I advice the anyone using my mods to stay on build 41 until 42 is officially released.

Sorry, but I don't understand, why I should update the mod. The foraging window is like the horizon clock mod, so why working still on implementing "cars", if cars are already in the game?
The spray paint mod or my planned map mod are much more interesting to continue with this.

up date pls:steamthis:
HAETPASSING 31 Dec, 2024 @ 10:36pm
It's a shame you abandoned the mod
Ichinin 15 May, 2024 @ 3:43am
This still works in 41.78 + MP, there is an error message (Null reference) when the game starts up, but the mod still works.
Kokujo 28 Nov, 2023 @ 11:39pm
is it still work?
HAETPASSING 19 May, 2023 @ 12:32pm
Wow. But I really like that it's generally a separate window. I think it's like our gaze into the horizon, which isometry took away from us.
Thuztor  [author] 19 May, 2023 @ 7:04am
@HAETPASSING Because of the "Foraging Window", which is similar created like the horizon clock, I can think of creating a mod to combine both windows. We will see... :spiffo:
HAETPASSING 19 May, 2023 @ 4:29am
I still love it and I hope to see new update
HAETPASSING 28 Mar, 2022 @ 3:13am
Genius mod
Thuztor  [author] 3 Jan, 2022 @ 6:10am
@Wyrd Yeah, the new foraging-system added a similar environment window. Therefore the "horizon mod" is outdated by now, I would say. :pillow:
Wyrd 2 Jan, 2022 @ 2:33pm
Build 41's "Investigate Area" mode (toggled by the spyglass button) reveals similar time-related information and adds more environmental clues besides.

I used this mod for quite a long time (considered it a must-have). It's great that the base game has included the same functionality now. Thanks for the useful mod.
Dwarden 26 Dec, 2021 @ 1:44pm
lovely mod ... used it for 5+ years
RelationLife 15 Nov, 2021 @ 6:55pm
The mod still works nowadays, but just a few notes for those who want to install this mod.
- The mod will make an error when you teleport or make a new character after you died in the same world. (Restart the game will resolve the error)
- Once you enable this mod, the mod will not be able to disable due to the datadictionary error.
- If you want to use this mod and want to remove the mod later, you should modify the mod file and remove the clock item.
- Like other mods, this mod will not distribute the clock item.

Does the mod work on B40? (MР)
Creator 20 May, 2021 @ 10:22am
Hello author! I liked your mod and I want to use it on a regular basis, but I don't quite understand its benefits. Why do you need to indicate the time of day in the lower right corner of the screen, if the wristwatch comes across incredibly often and you can remove it from the first corpse? Maybe I don't know something, I haven't played this game much time.
star 27 Jan, 2021 @ 10:29pm
You can use Mod Options to add options to your mod:
1) Custom key instead of Right CTRL
2) Disable key and always show the clock (ofc if character has it).
Aleksander Drako 29 Nov, 2020 @ 1:33pm
For me it seem to work. But only for new save, and it's stays even if you equip the hand clock.
Heal Puppy 9 Aug, 2020 @ 8:44am
Does not work, and it abandoned by the author.
D'Car 21 May, 2020 @ 7:42pm
I'm having the same problem. When this mod is enabled, the clock in the corner appears for about two frames on initial game load but then disappears. When I flip the mod off, the clock GUI element comes back. Tapping r-ctrl does bring up the clock GUI element, but it disappears again when I move, which means I have to disable the mod on any new game as soon as I find a watch/clock. Zomboid v40.43.
Wyrd 20 Apr, 2020 @ 9:27am
my laptop doesn't have a Right Control button, how do i view the clock without it? am i not seeing the remapping option in keybindings?
star 25 Feb, 2020 @ 1:13am
It's not comfortable to be not able to see the watch in top right corner.
Especially if you are streaming.
Nebula 20 Feb, 2020 @ 12:36pm
How long to wait for the mod update?
Fuyuno 9 Feb, 2020 @ 12:14pm
that's cool and all, but why can't we see the watch's display on the top right? ( ó ︿ò)
could there maybe be a toggle to go between the two?
Shotgun_Holic 9 Feb, 2020 @ 5:46am
@Thuztor Thanks a lot! it solved temporary :) i wll look forward to next update!
Thuztor  [author] 8 Feb, 2020 @ 11:17pm
@Fuyuno: - You have a watch, but you can't see the clock?
! Hold Right CTRL , if you move or whatever with the keyboard!
! Otherwise just press Right CTRL!

@Hennesey: Unfortunately you can't change it in the game. For now you can look in the lua-script "NormalClock.lua" for this TWO lines: if key == 157 then
just change the 157 with your preferred key.

I will see, that in the next update the key is changable in game.
Shotgun_Holic 29 Jan, 2020 @ 10:02pm
How to change key? cause i'm using 'non' english-country keyboard :/ so i can't press right CTRL
Fuyuno 25 Jan, 2020 @ 3:36am
this mod doesn't deactivate when you find a clock of any kind - the clock does appear to open, but it's off the UI where it would normally go, so you can't see anything. when i find a watch, i have to leave the game to disable this mod in order to see the time.
The Gray Ronin 24 Jan, 2020 @ 5:31pm
Seems to work alright with IWBUMS 41

Nice idea. Very like it.

This mod broke my game, if you are using a bunch of mods and have an issue this may be the one.
Tsvetomir 31 Dec, 2018 @ 11:25am
Report: Started new game, found digital watch, but the clock is not showing, when I push "U" it says "I still remember the time"
Tsvetomir 31 Dec, 2018 @ 5:51am
Hello, I cant see the time because of the pvp icon as seen here:
http://prntscr.com/m1mp22
Kirona 4 Dec, 2018 @ 10:21pm
Build 40 solo - some digital watches don't work. Pressing U is ponitless, as the digital watch UI is visible at bottom right whenever you have a digital watch (IF it works). Timewarp icons are below the bottom edge of the screen.

Error reports spawn every time I right-click a nonfunctioning Digital Watch.
Aki87 21 Jun, 2018 @ 3:49pm
Build 39 Multiplayer -Works but it disables the Digital Watch from working even if you press U with it in your inventory! Alarm clock mouse over in inventory is working.

Build 39 Solo - This works.
Xune 20 Apr, 2018 @ 2:02am
"I wear no watch with me" should instead be "I'm not wearing a watch" or "I don't have a watch with me"
Truescreen 1 Feb, 2018 @ 8:56am
Hey, this should be a feature
If the player has the outdoorsman trait and no digital watch, he will be able to see the horizon clock.
Dr_Cox1911 31 Dec, 2017 @ 4:52am
Hey Thuztor! Would love to use this mod, but unfortunately this doesn't work quite well with the new builds. it would be awesome if you could update this. IMHO best way would be to simply remove the horizon clock once the player found a watch/clock and display the time all the time. Just like the game does now.
Warrior glory 20 Dec, 2017 @ 7:25pm
哈哈,有意思的东西
BoNT 14 Nov, 2017 @ 11:01am
Encountered a bit of a wierd bug, figured I'd submit it here.

The red Digital Watch item seems to work correctly. The item ID for this is Base.DigitalWatch2.

The issue is that the grey/black Digital Watch model does not work. If you press U, no watchface will show, and if you press it again, your character will say "I still remember the current time." The item ID for this item is horizon_clock.DigitalWatch2.

This is a problem I've noticed both in singleplayer, and on our dedicated server. In short, one of the watch models is useless. Doesn't work as intended.
Saren 7 Nov, 2017 @ 5:08am
It doesn't display the time when I press the U key. But on the second press, it says *I wear no watch with me*. Is there some interface on my hud I have turned off or something?
BenJamin' 25 Aug, 2017 @ 3:17pm
The "I still remember the current time" bug fixes itself when you exit to main menu, then reload the save. Also, when you have the bug, the watch doesn't have the option of setting an alarm either, until you reload the save.
BenJamin' 25 Aug, 2017 @ 2:26pm
IMO, the fast-forward/pause buttons should just stay where they were before, under the clock. And when you check your watch for the time, the digital clock should replace/overlap the horizon clock for those 10 minutes.
BenJamin' 25 Aug, 2017 @ 2:20pm
I'm not sure if this is intentional, but the clock displaces the fast-forward/pause buttons to the bottom right of the screen. Then if you press U to check the time, these buttons will return under the horizon clock, but the actual digital clock will then display in the bottom right of the screen.

And sometimes, checking the time using U with a watch only says "I still remember the current time", even though it doesn't display the digital clock at all. (I only tried this on IWBUMS branch)

The mod itself is pretty good otherwise, especially the pixel art. Exactly what I was looking for. :)
Mr. Quiet 24 Apr, 2017 @ 3:31pm
Great idea!
Aki87 20 Mar, 2017 @ 11:50am
Fantastic Mod - but its covering the moodles not that the clocks UI has been tweaked since the no time update.
zyzz 9 Feb, 2017 @ 9:41pm
The horizon view is beautiful but it covers the moodles.
Neitronus 5 Feb, 2017 @ 3:17pm
It's on DS, btw.
Neitronus 5 Feb, 2017 @ 3:16pm
It covers the moodles on top and for some reason it's not displaying any time when U is pressed, character just says "I still remember the current time", but that's it.
