@Lady Wolf Brita's is good, but not where near lore friendly, and bloated to the point it can start to slow down some times. You also tend to want supplemental mods like Arsenal to really make it function well.

Vanilla Firearms Expanded is really good and stays lore friendly. I am not saying use it over this one(I haven't tried this one yet), but it is better than pretty much all the other ones available...assuming you want a balance that leans more towards realism rather then complete weapon balance.

I have seen some where they add cool guns and nerf the heck out of them to make them "balanced", or cut the range in half, or make automatics fire slower than pump shotguns. VFE isn't like that.

I am gonna try this mod too tho and see how it stacks up.

Or you could wait because Fenris, the guy who made ORGM better is now on TIS team.

No one is working on this. The most recent developer is now part of that actual game's team so maybe some aspects will sneak into the game itself? Time will tell on that front so don't hold your breath.

Unfortunately no, you are visiting the grave of a mod whose body was saved from the zombies only by grace of the amount of dirt on top of it.

After messing with the other 3 major gun mod packs for this game for.... months now, cycling through each as they all have faults that just kill their fun for me. I find myself returning repeatedly back to this one, he really had the balance of new guns and everything just perfect. It makes me sad there's not been an update tbh.

I'm wondering what the state of the mod actually is, obviously it's on a hiatus, but are their definite plans to update it? Are there any whisperings of anything even resembling an update (even just a "still alive, still working, waaaait" would be an absolute breath of air to a man drowning in gun mod confusion.) anywhere.

Yeah, I love this mod, it's so perfect, can't praise it enough - I want more, please!

I know, but I don't have the time/wherewithal and the dev who took over the mod a long time back has now joined the Indiestone team as one of their devs so is not working on mods anymore.

I really appreciate the interest though! Love the mod had so much impact.

If you read any of the comments you would see why that is not happening.

The game has changed a great deal since this mod was able to be used... like all zombies and players being 3d models instead of 2d sprits.

Can you still continue with the development of the mod? I am interested in taking over to create compatibility with Build 41

Indeed congrats! I'm very excited for the future of the game when they continue to tap community members that we know and trust to help move it forward. We've had so many games where the publishers and devs think they know what players want despite being told they don't want those things; with the devteam containing people who ARE players, the game just gets better and better!

@Black Rav3n Not with build 41 (the most recent one) no. Sadly without this the games firearms feel horrible to use and really kills the fun factor.

This mod is why I sunk so many hundreds of hours into Zomboid, trying to play it without ORGM just feels like 1/2 a game.

It truly was the best of the Zomboid mods, should you ever decide to pick it back up and start a patreon or something, I'd be happy to support its continued development.

I sympathize with the hard-working and the Brave. It must have felt like One was doing the Lords' Work by augmenting Doomer Zomboid vibes with that quantity/quality factor. But, As Moss describes the "As Above and So Below" quantum-phenomena... yes. It is dreadful to feel like the very zombies the consumers bash the virtual brains in of, in Identity. T_T. This kind of morale can cause... artifacts. It is with a great pressing of the lips and downward looking, do I say that I stand in a similar situation regarding a project entirely my own. Perhaps your mod perishes with Build 40... But the idea of your Legacies as sacrificees shall not go forgotten: I am a scribe that works with a doctor *In The Real World*, racing to stop suicide, insecurity about Death, The Woes of Alcohol and Cigarettes, what have you. ...Courage. ORGM is for the men that know how to combine mods. Seriously, use this, HC b40 and two patches for this mod, Suppressors and HC support, and you got yourself something Build 41 and beyond want to achieve.
