I'm using advanced vehicle options but I am unable to figure out how to set this as a metro train instead of a passenger train. Anyone know?

For those with the train having only 1 engine car, it is meant to be used with the "advanced vehicle options" mod where you can tick a box to make any train have last carriage as the engine.
You can also use the mod to edit other vehicle statistics, such as speed, capacity and other stuff.

There are two types of S stock on the London Underground the 8 car S8 on the Metropolitan Line and the 7 car S7 on the Circle,District and Hammersmith & City. From about 2009 they started replacing the A60/A62 Stock on the Metropolitan Line before moving onto the C69/C77 Stock on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and District Line (Edgware Rd-Wimbledon) before ending with my favourite the D78 on the Main District Line.The last S stock train entered service during 2017.

Since this mod has been converted to the metro overhaul mod, it doesn't have the engine carrige as the front. Is this a bug? Can you fix it thx!

this train runs on the hammersmith & city line too, maybe add that to the description?

Ahh good, as it's boring having all the same stuff. And harder to find which one you want... Was much better when each line had different stock pretty much haha.

Nope! The S Stock has some features specific to the subsurface lines, like air conditioning (which can't be done on deep level lines because of issues with ventillation). The Central, Waterloo & City, Piccadilly, and Bakerloo lines will get the New Tube for London in the mid-2020s.

Isn't it going to be on all lines within the next few years?

Woah, thats some amazing research you do to model a train. If I was doing it, I would just find images of the train on the internet >.<

Just got back from standing at an overground platform awkwardly for an hour. Took some pictures of the class 378 trains so I will attempt to model one.
