there is a bug with the "Awesome Stations" mod where you cannot study the artifacts that Stations give by themselves, you have to include at least one Old Earth, Alien, or Progenitor artifact

@PKOIzen: because this modifies the Artifacts interface script, any other mod that also modifies it will completely override this mod. It is perhaps easier to incorporate this mod into Ryika's Awesome Stations, seeing it's a much more elaborate mod.

Alternatively, it's possible to note the combinations of artifacts and techs they produce and print them out, since they're a very limited set of techs and artifacts.

Nice addition to the game, but when used with Ryika's Awesome Stations, I lose the info provided under under any of the artifacts. Any chance of getting that back?

@Juggernaughty: have you updated your game to 1.1.2.4035? I tested just now and haven't found any problems. I haven't found any new updates since that version either.

The mod has stopped working for me. I can still open the artifacts interface, it just doesn't display the reward preference and yields on the card anymore, and the right-click doesn't work either. It's basically like the mod wasn't even there to begin with.

I've tried removing the mod and letting my game resync to get it again. Still nothing. ;'c

game crashes since last update, worked before like a charm. Clearing cache, complete reinstall didnt help, uninstallation did the trick.

Just a note that I've updated this mod and it works with the latest game version on my side. If it doesn't work for you, please first DELETE this mod from your MODS menu in the game, and let the game re-sync the mod to the latest version. Clearing your game cache may also help, although I did not need to do that during testing.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all the players who have reported back when this mod did and didn't work. Thank you very much!

I have CivBE:RT and just tried installing this mod.

It installs and the game runs, but the artifacts dialog does not open at all once it is installed.
There is the new overview dialog (and that *does* open from the + menu), but without the artifacts main dialog, this is not useful. Removing this mod for now.

@Sys: Sorry for the late reply. Been busy with work. I actually don't have older versions as I simply overwrite them. However, you can replicate the functions of this mod easily on your current version of the game by looking through my code and look for all the parts that are marked by the "mnf" comment string. Replicate these code in your current game version and it should work properly. To be honest, my code hasn't changed since the very first version (except for responding to a feature request). Each update is just me replicating my own code on top of the new game LUA files. I commented all my changes so anyone could easily replicate them.

Would it be possible to get the previous version of this mod? We're unable to play the latest game version because of the Unhandled exception problem, so we're using the previous build via the legacyplease beta. As such this version of your mod makes the artifact window not open at all. If so, add me and we'll work out a delivery mechanism. If not, it's cool, just thought i'd ask :)

Well it is possible using Lua code to find out exactly which rewards you have obtained. So it is possible to create a window for that. Sadly I don't know how, as the most I can do is little tweaks on existing code. :(

I like what this mod adds to artifacts, but I was wondering if there is a window in the game that lists the rewards you've already gotten from artifacts? If it doesn't exist is there a way to add one?

I tried using this mod in a new game, but when I got my first artifact, I was unable to go into the archive to view artifacts. (Clicking on the artifact icon was unresponsive.) I also had the Chungsu Colors mod active, but nothing else. Weird. Looks like others may have run into a problem like that?

That's odd. If you're "subscribed" to this mod on Steam Workshops, then the next time you enter the MODS menu in the game, it should show either an "Update" button or list the v.2 package just under your existing v.1 package.

You could try just deleting the v.1 item in your MODS menu, then exit to main menu, and enter MODS menu again. The game should automatically check for your subscribed items and download the latest versions.

Although I'm actually not sure exactly how this whole Workshop thing treats updates and versions. orz

Again, I want to note that anyone is welcome to take code from this mod and use it freely, all my changes have the "mnf" comment string. So conflicting mods (which most certainly would be more elaborate mods than this) please feel free to incorporate these changes and tell your users to stop using this mod.

Hello, it actually didn't automatically update to v2 ... the problem still persists though. But it might be a new incompatibility with the other mods I use. Will try out this one only soon - when I'm not that lazy.

I've uploaded a new version. It should say "v2" in your MODs menu. Please delete v1 if you're still using it (although v1 should still work). If there are other mods that have updated and started to include changes to the Artifact UI, then this mod will also break it.

I'm currently playing with this version downloaded from here and it works for me with Rising Tide 1.1.2.3009 (at the main menu screen).

I actually have no idea about achievements and MP. Although I don't think Civ mods are compatible with steam achievements unless it is built into a DLC. This mod is not built into a DLC (I don't know how), most likely you cannot earn any achievements while this mod is activated.

Wonderful. That would be great. Yeah, I get that the combo yields seem to be dynamic, but it's the individual yields that I'd love to see displayed without having to go through the drag and drop dance.

I'll look into it and see what I can do. Most likely each artifact card can have its yields labeled, but note that when you combine 3 artifacts, you get a bonus on the yields, and that can only be determined after all 3 artifacts have been selected. So I'm thinking we could label each card on the left and at the 3 research slots on the top-right.

I'm a little busy with work at the moment. Will get on it in a few days time.

Excellent-looking mod. I could definitely see using this in my games. Would it be possible to add the artifacts' individual yields to that screen? I hate having to drag over each artifact to see what I'll get if I break it down, decide it's not worth it, and drag it back, over and over.
