thank you for making this cool mutation.
I put together a short 30 second video to show how to start up a game with this specific mutation. It sounds like you're trying to run it like an old fashioned mod from back in L4D days-- L4D2 is much more convenient with Workshop mods.
Ehm, nothing special happens. The mod is installed and I've tried starting it through the consolecommand map mapname zombierealism thingy. The most important part for me is to know if the mod still works for you, so I can continue to test things out! I kinda gave up after trying for a couple of hours yesterday. I might be missing something obvious, since I'm new to modding/using addons for Left 4 dead in general, but it feels like the mod doesnt work atm since I have it downloaded, installed and have tried playing different gamemodes with the mod as an active addon.
What happens when you try?
>Mutation
>Change Mutation
>Zombie Realism (or Zombie Realism Normal if you don't want it on Realism mode)
>Select Mutation
>Play With Friends
>Create New Zombie Realism Lobby
>change Server Type to Local Server
>Create Lobby
As for a stamina on melee, sadly, my brain is incapable of thinking of how to get that a thing.
You've done impressive work, and I mean - you really did. It's been a long time since I fully enjoyed a zombie game. The last one was Dying Light, but everything after that... - just huge nope.
My horror set collection that you can use (for extra freaks out):https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=964079246
Also, don't forget to turn down the brightness to minimum! :D
I'm a great, great post-apo fan, and all I gotta say - this mutation is the best mutation outta entire workshop!
It highly encourages teamwork, and good aim. Everytime I hear the zombies coming at me it freaks the living fuck out of me. I'm trying to get to some closed building asap, lock myself down and barricade the doors, then hold them off. Guess how fucked we are when we are in the open... People think slow zombies are dull, dumb, and uncool. Not in this mutation!
Try to tap headshots when you see about 50 zombies coming STRAIGHT onto you, with countless ammount of them behind.
I kinda like how the meele were nerfed. In vanila game, one slice would put down about 5 zombies. In here, you could only flip them, but you need 2-3 more hits to kill them.
