hello, i was wondering if you still take material fix requests, i wanted to paint the frontier djustice for demoman but everytime i try, the paint looks transparent and it still looks brown. I tried to look for a fix but i can't seem to find any.

Can you maybe try fixing this? Bendouin Bandanna, Been trying to fix it for a bit but still transparent and I tested it and it was made like this for some reason and also it was updated from TF2 files properly so I dont know why its acting like this even though its from official TF2

I'm sorry to sound rude because obviously you have things to do, but if you get the spare time, can you try out fixing the North Polar Fleece? I'm unexperienced with fixing textures and there's no place to download a fixed NPF texture. Thank you for all these useful Material/Texture fixes, and I wish you luck on your other workshop pieces.

There is some things that are different between the TF2 Game engine and the one that SFM uses. It is a lot older and doesn not support painting the same way that TF2 does. If the materials are not setup in such a manner the older engine understands then no, they can't be painted in SFM. Looking at the ones I extracted from the TF2 VPKs Yesterday, I'm finding that these are not paintable in SFM. There is not $colorbase_tint attribute being passed by the vmt and I don't think the VTF has a proper layer mask for painting (I haven't looked at that.)

I actually have a question about that. it is paintable in game, but there isn't a way to paint it normally in SFM? cause all I get is the entire model painted purple.

Uhm, I'm not seeing anything wrong with it, looking at the latest TF2 extracted model files, I don't see that it is suppose to be paintable. Cloakable yes, paintable no.

There are a couple of Texture Fixes done by other ppl that include multiple fixes. You may have to try a search in the workshop area to see if anyone actually spells out the fix. If not, try the actual material name in your search. If there is a fix, it should spell out the actual filename in the included files area as that material.

Is there the "Medicine Manpurse" fix? I can't find it even in the SFM General Discussion Area.

Uhm.. Why is WHAT not working for you. This is a collection of my fixes. clicking a link will take you to the sub page, clicking the + sign will sub you to the item. You then have to launch SFM to download the sub.
