I am really pissed with the fact that saxons only have 1 archer unit, same goes for the viking factions.
I love Alans: they loved (as the few we know) "Veterans" units, like the vanilla "Grey H2air". Where can I change the name of the units? Just like "Sarmatian Veteran Chataphracts" imho sound better than "Legends of the steppe", like the "Heavy Hunnic Spearman" (you have to assign them to Alans or Avars) because they didt own spears.. they lived together with their own horse!
Sorry for my bad english!
Anyways, in the end really awesome mod, it made the game much more enjoyable overall, making a lot of weak civs playable, thanls!
I suggest as well please, to heavily nerf the Franko-Taifaili lancers, they're OP as fuck, really. Insane movement speed and armor, well, everything a lancer can dream of. They're like Hunnic first wave lancers, but with INSANE armor.
They make every other lancer unit in the game pretty much obsolete.
So if it was possible to put them at Very heavy cavalry movement speed, or take away their armor, that would be awesome. (i mean, 90 movement speed, that Alans have pretty much the EXACT same unit, with 45, all stats near identical otherwise).
Just to save you searching:
you need the tool Pack File Manager (version 3.5.0). use it to open the champloo_unit_mod.pack and go to main_units_tables.
there are two entries for the unit max size, which are "num_men" and "max_men_per_ship". double those and voilà.
now delete all other tables except for the main_units_tables. everything but this very table. then, right click the table
where it says "elite_champloo_units_main_units" and select rename. put "_" (without quotation marks) in front of it.
this will make it so that the pack file you edited will be loaded before my mod. then save the whole file under a new name
of your choice. if you ignore the last step, the file will be changed everytime i update my mod (which will happen).
then you'd have to do it again.
feel free to share it with others on the workshop
I'm an enthusiast of your previous work in Rome 2. It's good to see a quality unit mod coming from you for attila once more.
