If you really want to use it as a particle that glows, you must edit the bone's vmt. All you need to add is $selfillum 1 between its codes and it should glow by itself. It probably would work for particles too that way.

@AtomicRobot It wasn't meant to be a particle in the first place, it's a prop. Also, Valve have apparently removed the ability for particles to be affected by lighting.

i have a problem, that, if i use it as a model for a particle system it spawns in black... Well I use it in a black room but it doesn't react to lighting and can't make it visible... help...?
