i have bug recently that it starts sandbox game mode instead of deathmatch
even if its a deathmatch map it changes it to sandbox

any map with weapons on it will have them respawn automatically. no weapons are automatically added to maps that don't already have weapons

If the bots aren't respawning you might have conflicting addons installed. I'm not sure what kind of addon would prevent something like that, though.

Any gamemode that uses the game.LoadNextMap function (like TTT and I assume most other gamemodes do) will work with a mapcycle file or the nextlevel convar. https://wiki.facepunch.com/gmod/game.LoadNextMap

Out of curiosity does mapcyclefile work on other gamemodes and did you have to do anything specific for mapcyclefile on your gamemode?
