can i turn your ship in to a drone carrier
Archer957 14 Oct, 2020 @ 2:39pm
love this design ive used it as a base for several of my ships including heavy artillery, mobile refueling station/ maintence, also as a research facility. Its a wonderful starting platform for all sorts of things. funnily enough ive never used it like an aircraft carrier always repurpose it
DoomedToFail 20 Sep, 2019 @ 10:01am
interesting design i like it
It'sMatt 26 Jan, 2019 @ 6:59pm
the only problem i found with it is the lack of defense on the bottom. gunships can get under the ship and blow out the engiens. the ship it self is too slow and cant turn quickly enough to get away from them. but it is a very cool looking vessel, and super effective if your not at war with somone

Due to some unfortunate bugs I've crashed this TWICE... and it survived to be repaired back to full. Each time despite losing several thrusters it was able to maintain a stable hover, testifying to the durability and redundancy of the design.
Doctor Chunkles 4 Oct, 2018 @ 3:05pm
good work, but seriously this is the only flying atmospheric base i can find!

Sounds great Stollie! :)

Its going to be my Mars boss battle ship if you're ok with it :D

Hi GopeScope,

Awesome design.

Do you mind if significantly modify the framework with mods and other changes to fit a lengthy Survival scenario I'm making?

It'll have the same colours and very similar exterior minus some alterartions and some additions plus it'll have mods (shields/self repair/weapons).

I will link back here as the original blueprint framework for credit.

Cheers,
Stollie

FINALLY A FLOATING BASE I CAN ACTUALLY USE THANK YOU!
Nilix 13 May, 2017 @ 8:38am
this things appearance reminds me of the Monarch Dreadnought of the game Dreadnought, a colossal behemoth in its own right

thanks!

Wo. ...! Sick as fuuk! Best scribe today for me.

Umm, didnt post yet.....just read below comment. @Morphik , man i have questions for you.

This with the Gravity Aligner script, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=567481214

makes this thing a real flying fortress, set forward thrusters to override and just sit back and watch it go around the planet.

@YoloSwaggins23 Considering that neither the Martian nor Alien atmospheres are breathable?
[MO] MingeBag 28 Oct, 2016 @ 8:38pm
why's it need oxygen supply? It stays inside the atmosphere, right?
Brass 2 Jul, 2016 @ 5:22am
how much fuel does a behemoth like that even need!?
Teksorbkyva 29 Jun, 2016 @ 12:54am
Reminds me of the airborne carriers from Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow.

Sick design~
Garpfruit 6 May, 2016 @ 12:48pm
It has a tendency to pitch forward for no reason, this is usually followed by it dropping out of the sky.

Hi It'sModalSteak,

Thanks for answering mmandabear1982's question. Also, I'm flattered that you picked up space engineers, in part, because of me :)

I'd love to see your interceptor. Do you have a workshop link and/or screen shots?
Vulkan, Lord of Drakes 19 Mar, 2016 @ 9:59am
@mmandabear1982 press F10, scroll to the blueprint you want, click on it,and click [ok] then once the menu disappears press ctrl+v and if should pop up. Find a place to put it and then click the left mouse button. To rotate the ship use Keypad Home, pg up, end, and pg down.

Hey Gopescope, I'm relatively new to space engineers and you were the main reason I bought the game, after a few days of working on it I completed a VCS inspired medium interceptor. It's designed as a medium between the Sunspider and Void Wolf, it has better manueverability than the Void Wolf, but less weapons and can run longer than a SunSpider. I'd love to get your opinion on it, to see if it's worthy of Void Corp.

I love you.

HOW U PLACE IT
HerrSalzig 6 Dec, 2015 @ 9:05am
DUDE! You have outdone yourself -- AGAIN! How do you come up with these? And then, how do you actually make them?
EdgarAllanPwn  [author] 3 Dec, 2015 @ 11:18am
Sorry Nerf, not sure if I have any advice for you - other than to maybe start from the bottom of the command section (the part that hangs down) and work your way up - perhaps building components before armor where possible. You can always go back and add the armor after you know the internals are linked up and functioning. I guess I did have advice; I hope it helps! Thanks for stopping by and happy engineering :)

Thanks Captain Jack; nice video!
NerfWhatKilledMe 3 Dec, 2015 @ 10:38am
I have just one question. How am I supposed to build this beautiful behemoth? Even using blueprints and hologram projectors I am sure to miss an important piece and totally screw it up. Suggestions?
Captain Jack 1 Dec, 2015 @ 1:32pm
An Epic Build right here! Kind of reminded me if the Marvel Helicarrier! Did a review/first look at the VC Sky Fortress - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aX7E7Furpv4

Well Done GopeScope :D

@linxbolt501 aerodynamics doesnt have large ship blocks, so the carrier is unaffected
darkscoper 28 Nov, 2015 @ 7:01pm
Meh, it looks okay, but when you look at ACTUAL uses, it doesnt have very many. Also, this thing goes down in seconds
Dez The Dapper Bocchi 28 Nov, 2015 @ 6:20pm
looks like shield helicarrier to me
Kakel Vers 28 Nov, 2015 @ 5:09pm
this is least usefull but nice design, too bad these two often dont go well together.

@Prebz111: Just checked both of your vids, and downvoted them for spamming all over the mod channels.

Try a weapon rebalance, Vanilla turrets are garbage. Give 'High Velocity Weapons' a try
Laffyistired 28 Nov, 2015 @ 6:31am
are you going to do a you tube it deserve one its beautyfull
lazurkri 28 Nov, 2015 @ 5:53am
Impressive, but not at all combat survivable; it works if you have CAP out defending you, but one rocket to a engine pod and you are pretty much looking at having to leave the AO and land as fast as possible for repairs. three pods out on the same side (or hell, even with two), which is easy as hell to take out by a single pass from competent pilot, and you get to experience a really fun roll that usually ends with the ship crashing either on its side or in one truly memorable case, landing flipped over with all the docked ships I had on deck going "crunch!"

Any chance you can make a "combat" variant of this with minimal "Civilian" aspects and either boost the entire engine systems protection or find places to add WAYYYYY more CIWS gatlings for point-defense?

Omnitae, The Wendigo 28 Nov, 2015 @ 3:46am
It is very easy to blow off the support thruster pods. This cripples the design and leave's that faction's entire spent resurces on the craft, wasted. It's still a very nice design, however and very aesthetically pleasing to hover on while listening to calming music.
Shepard 27 Nov, 2015 @ 8:54pm
Decended on an enemy base with this, guns a blazing listening to, "Carry on my wayward son" 10/10 m8
UltraEmailMan 27 Nov, 2015 @ 8:32pm
This only way this could be better is if it was solar powered and was able to stay flying forever.
med561 27 Nov, 2015 @ 8:09pm
@Prebz111 stop spamming the mod forums for your channel. Building your channel on pity won't work niether does annoying people with posts on places not suited for it.
sy4zim 27 Nov, 2015 @ 7:43pm
@GopeScope

How many VC gunships is this supposed to carry?

Because I can't bring 3 without having altitude loss and the ship likes to tilt because the gyros aren't enough or the centre of mass is toward the front?
