NOTE: This mod has issues. It has been stated that a game update affected displays and LCDs. This mod has not been updated to correctly work with that update. The LCDs of this mod will still work, but only if there is a light source shining directly on them.

If these LCDs don't seem to work, turn on your character light and the text will appear. Turn off your character light and the text disappears. I assume that other light sources, that directly shine of the LCD will also work.

@Hirnsausen download Automatic LCD's 2 and use the script to do it for you, you dont have to write code, only name your LCD's "!LCD!" and write easy commands in the Custom Data field of the LCD Panel
For Date and Time its "DateTime" for example
or your ships Acceleration can be shown with "Accel"

We would need LCD screens that can automatically show ingame time, real time (on computer), and various specs of the station the screen is connected to, and also player stats, without any need to learn the programming. Can you do this?

Yeah there is an issue where unless you have a light shining on the lcd's in this mod they cannot be read. At present you either have to have you suit light on it or place a light to serve as a "back light".

Can you fix the issue with the unreadability in low light conditions please? I love the LCDs, but right now there pretty much unusable!

Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience but this issue stems from a bug in game with emissivity that was being used by this mod. We apologize but fixing it has broken the mod but we have looked into it to see if we can help you fixing it.

We would suggest supplying add texture with emissive = 1 (green channel). When supplying add texture, don't forget to put AO = 1 as well (red channel) to fix the mod.

The update seems to have broken these theyare almost udreadable emitting no light I'm srue it has something to do with the light emissive fix :(

@aikagi - How did you remove the bounding box? I have a sloped lcd mod and I would love to remove the bounding boxes. I looked through it but it doesn't seem to be something I can solve just by removing a texture file or texture definition. Is it handled somewhere in VRage Model Builder?

I saw from a different mod page that because of keen's shenanigans LCDs stop properly working after some time requiring a game restart, nothing to do with mods.
Sloped LCDs would be very nice.

Hey all sorry for my MIA-ness. I've been taken with other RL efforts. I see some have said the screens have gone dark, is this still the case? I just cracked open SE again but all the screens seem fine in my game and I'm self-subscribed to my own mod. They're also still color-able on my end. Can I get a confirm on the dark screen issue? Also:

1, I'll see if I can crack them open and fiddle with the wattage regulators
2. Sloped versions... Hmm.... I'll see what my contacts can get their hands on
3. Doors I dunno about.

The live camera feed is more a plug-in than a mod. It is a DLL and tend to break on updates.

While I'm ok with the current LCD's I must say your selling shpiel is spot on and VERY well written. And it looks pretty awesome too. Great job on both the model, and the description. You oughta be a real salesman dude. That is some really good advertising. Ah screw it. I'll take it. :P

Has anyone been able to make an LCD screen that shows a cameras video in real time? Like say if I wanted a cockpit monitor ...or a Bridge monitor?

btw this + clear cameras is awesome, now if that one mod for camera feeds to LCD would work perfectly... it'd be an awesome mod bundle.
