Anyone know if this mod works with the fertility increasing sanitation buildings mod?
AI985 14 May, 2024 @ 7:03am
plausible and more historical though we can not calculate the climate change accurately at that time

Great idea! But does it need a patch? Climate change is struck at -3
Vikingstyle 16 Dec, 2017 @ 11:28pm
Are you able to reduce snow effects on the campaign map once fertility comes back?

Is snow decline included like Maxsilv suggested? Would make the campaign far more interesting while you don't have the late game artrition!

Is this save game compatible?
|rav| 2 Apr, 2017 @ 2:52pm
Hi, is this mod compatible with Radious?
Banker721 7 Jan, 2017 @ 12:18pm
Work as intended in main campaign. Saved me the headache of replacing wheat fields with goat farms and quell rebellion all across formerly pacified lands.

Hello. I am interested by your mod, and I have noticed that you have a problem with the snow generation, which is not directly linked to the fertility file. I may have the solution. Actually, it is quite simple. In "terrain.pack" there is a folder 'campaigns\main_attila_map'. There, we have many dds files named snow_something. I am pretty sure that is the mask used for the campaign. Logically, if we remplace the late phase files by the first one, snow will return to its former position. With DDS Converter, it should be easy to change that. I am a modder too, then if I can help you, it will be a pleasure! (And please forgive my mistakes, as English is not my native language.)

However, I uploaded it again to be sure.
IonizedMercury  [author] 28 Jun, 2016 @ 9:58am
Well, unless I forgot to upload the file the name of the table should be ct_campaign_climate_change_phases

@ PMarricks :

Looked above this Mod, because its still in my Favourites somehow.

Seeing you didnt update it, leaving the Error for Months.

Removed now.

Hi! is this mod save compatible?
Dansken👻 16 Mar, 2016 @ 11:19am
Great!
IonizedMercury  [author] 27 Feb, 2016 @ 12:53am
Ah, sorry, I forgot to rename that table, will do, thanks!
MINOS 27 Feb, 2016 @ 12:52am
@ PMarricks :

This Mod will cause Troubles with AoC and Last Roman, since you didn't make it compatible with them.
Rename the Table Value to something with a Prefix, like "dalton_campaign_climate_change_phases".

Otherwise Aoc, Last Roman and the Prologue will have no Climate Changes Tables and at worst the Values will be missing and it will crash!
nsheon 15 Feb, 2016 @ 2:14am
Yeah, scratch that, thought I had ruled out the culprit but I was wrong. All apologies, this works great
IonizedMercury  [author] 15 Feb, 2016 @ 2:09am
Well, it shouldn't, since it only contains the table for the GC, TLR and AoC have separate climate tables.
nsheon 15 Feb, 2016 @ 2:08am
Love this mod for GC - though I believe it causes AoC to crash on launch
nsheon 9 Feb, 2016 @ 9:01pm
Cool! Look forward to playing around with this. Thanks again
IonizedMercury  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 11:58pm
Yes, I only changed the fertility levels.
nsheon 7 Feb, 2016 @ 10:19pm
Awesome, thank you so much. So you didn't chane any of those values? Just the fertility levels corresponding to the events (i.e. should be compatible with a mod that lessens the amount of hordes the Huns spawn)?
IonizedMercury  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 4:18pm
The one included with this mod, campaign_climate_change_phases let's you set the amount of turns it takes to progress from one phase to another. The tables governing Attila and the Huns are lua scripts in the campaigns folder. att_preservation for example controls how, when and what kind of units the Huns spawn. attila_story sets the flags for when Attila becomes killable (default 432).
nsheon 7 Feb, 2016 @ 3:27pm
Ahhhhh I see. So it basically lets you control how the game's narrative plays out. What tables would you edit to control that?
IonizedMercury  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 1:28am
This mod doesn't effect the Huns, only fertility. The table governing climate change also controls when the game enters which phase, Attila born, takes the reins and so on. It would be possible to completely disable climate change and the snow creep by extending phase0 indefinitely, but that would also disable the "story" of the game and chapter missions. Another possibility is to redefine the campaign scripts but I haven't yet found the one that controls the snow creep.
nsheon 7 Feb, 2016 @ 12:33am
You mention in your comments that this affects the Huns in a few ways - could you please elaborate? Really trying to balance the campaign a bit better
Harry Tipper 28 Jan, 2016 @ 8:27pm
Does the snow go back to normal also?
Sgt. meow meow 24 Jan, 2016 @ 8:19pm
Delightful! Thank you.
Vikingstyle 27 Dec, 2015 @ 9:59am
Can you make the snow effects reflecting the fertility level? Currently they don't match.
Chief Zuma 21 Dec, 2015 @ 1:26pm
Oh that's all the better then. Thanks very much!
IonizedMercury  [author] 21 Dec, 2015 @ 1:17pm
I don't think that's necessary. I mean the mod will simply replace whatever the next climate change in the line would be.
Chief Zuma 21 Dec, 2015 @ 1:03pm
Should I go ahead and restart my campaign? I was only like 3 turns in anyway.
IonizedMercury  [author] 21 Dec, 2015 @ 11:09am
I can attest that it works correctly. What's more, it's actually possible to move the different phases around and have Attila assume Kingship, start his death march or die in different times. It should even be possible to have him die on the historical date of 453.
antoncatedrales 21 Dec, 2015 @ 10:59am
Advise here to be tuned. It is the more simple and usefull mod I´ve seen... if it works properly.... je, je.
IonizedMercury  [author] 21 Dec, 2015 @ 9:35am
I just tested the mod, it not only affects fertility, but also what kind of level the Hunnic hordes are in and the triggering of cutscenes. I experimented and had all five phases start within the first few turns of the campaign.

What this mod can't change is the creep of snow southwards and the longer winters, I'm afraid if fiddle around with that it might screw with the campaign or lead to the game playing cutscenes out of order.

Small update, I had to rename the table so it completely replaces the vanilla one to work correctly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

this sounds like an excellent mod, if this works with other mods like radious this is much better, simpler and more useful than those other fertility mods around :)
IonizedMercury  [author] 21 Dec, 2015 @ 12:37am
I think it is, it should simply substitite the value of whatever the next change in your saved campaign should be.
Working Joe 20 Dec, 2015 @ 11:54pm
Savegame compatible?
Mr_Drell 15 Dec, 2015 @ 11:50pm
Thank you for this mod
