I think that you can still play CS:GO workshop maps that you downloaded after CS2's release. They don't show up in the workshop browser but you can still use console commands to play them.
Just open console and type:
"map (map name goes here, with the gamemode prefix at the start)"
Make sure not to include the quotation marks or parenthesis or else it wont work.
