hmmm I wanna say this is great! because in some ways it is! The idea is amazing, and if you get used to its quirks it is very helpful however there are many quirks.

If you choose to subscribe/download i recommend having anarchy on (other mod)

I have created a similar modular system, which is working. Funny thing is the fact that I did not know about your assets, I've found yours while designing mine. Great minds... :steamhappy:

MetroPed (modular transport stations with pedestrian undergound access)

Anyway, I have a sollution for fixing the problem with cims not using the tunnels.

Short version: I have to enter Asset Editor before start/load a game, otherwise custom designed pink paths do not work ingame. It took me ages to realize this, because everything looked ok, including the MNS present ingame (ship paths etc). MNS is breaking my UI, combining paths with canals, but I can live with that.

thank you for making this asset .
can you put my idea , or cannot ?
it is to transplant this asset at underground train station : Train category , not Metro .

thank you for listenig .

Great idea, but doesn't work. Thank you anyway.

Also why do we need 3 entrances? Just make one without a path in any direction

This is the best idea ever but it does not work. Pedestrians do not use the tunnel.

I can't seem to get the plaftorm connection to my pedestrian paths to work. I place the platform on relatively flat ground (I tested in different areas of my city) and connected the paths both to your entrance assets and standard pedestrian tunnel entrances. The platforms are in high demand ares where lots of cims are taking the bus on the same route, but no one uses the pedestrian tunnels to get to the platform. Is there a method to connecting the tunnels to the platform that makes it work? I've typically been rotating the platform so that it is located beneath a road.

I really like the idea, and could so far do what i wanted with this set. But I miss something: could you make another platform 12 meters deeper, so that one can combine them to make a connecting station with 2 crossing lines ?

PM with Steam is difficult, because most people have them only enabled for friends.

Either that or use the invisible pedestrian paths from More Network Stuff, but i can understnad about not wanting an asset with dependencies.

Unfortunately I have next to nothing in C:SL modding skills. Perhaps you could PM GrumpyKitten, the modder who made Grand Central with train and metro or BloodyPenguin to figure how to disable terrain modification? I know BloddyPenguin helped another modder who was trying to make the metro stations have actual staircases.

I want to do it with underground train stations. That way you could do mixed stations with shared entrances. However I would really like to have a pedestrian tunnel, that does not go that deep under the ground. The vanilla pedestrian tunnels are underneath the metro station. That makes things more complicated. Unfortunately I'm not a good scripter and I haven't managed, although I suspect it's not that difficult. The problem is, that the vanilla pedestrian tunnel lowers the terrain, when you place it closer to the ground. So if you created a coppy of the pedestrian tunnel with the terrain modification disabled, it should work.
Could someone help me with that? Or tell me where I could ask for help with something like this?
Unfortunately Steam is not the best place for this. It was easier with Skyrim on the Nexus.

Great idea! I was wondering if this concept could be applied to BloodyPenguin's underground train station to make modular underground train stations?

If the ground is not perfectly flat the entrance often doesn't connect to the pedestrian tunnel.
In the underground view you can see if it is connected. If it worked, the pedestrians will use them (at least in my game). The teleportation thing can happen if buildings are very close to the entrance.

You are definately on to somethng here, but unfortunately they do not work as expected. The cims seem to teleport from the entrance to the nearest building (probably ok when the platform is closest). They dont walk through the pedestrian tunnels. I was hoping to place the entrances a block or two from the platform and connect to my existing pedestrian tunnel system and have them walk to the platform, but instead they teleport from the entrance to the nearest building. Existing underground pedestrian networks would benefit from nicer entrances, and the metro stations would benefit from feeder tunnels, but it doesnt work this way. Im sure that's a game limitation. If it worked, this would be a brilliant idea. Unfortunately as it is now, it doesnt. Rated up for trying though :)

Place Metro entrances and platforms separately and connect them with pedestrian tunnels. (See collection)

Hi is this modular metro station working?
No Dread 17 Dec, 2015 @ 7:33pm
I'm assuming that this works like the old brick modular station? I always love modular service buildings!
