how do you make maps on insurgency?

it's 2022 and the map still crashes the server and now we can get into the server!!

how do you play on the map?

When I get near the German Side of the map (Opposite Side of the map from the beach) the whole game crashes. This also happens only on this map. It also crashes on this map when I finish a round. Not sure if it's my game or the map.

I've been trying to use Hammer to modify a default Insurgency map, but every time I try to run the map, Hammer crashes. Even if I don't modify the map. If I just load up a defualt map in hammer, try to run it, bam, it crashes. Any ideas? Thanks.

this was my favourite map in the old DOI mod, are you going to port it over to the standalone?

the NPCs just stand in place

Ive been spawning NPC's on all of the DOI maps but they dont work, do i have to do something more or are NPC's just not workable

could you try to ballance out A? It's insanely hard to push up to, or cap, and in pub servers, it's impossible.

I can certainly look into it. I enjoying making something a little different.

You need to change the fog colour. Fog doesn't work that way. It needs to be the same colour as the skybox at horizon level.

From my experience, sometimes the workshop and servers don't play well together. Check the map file and see if it's dated 2/9/2016 9:01 am. If not, the server might not have grabbed the current version. It has happened to me before. It's ID number is 608694820

The servers are running the old version...they need a restart. The NWI servers should be good.

So with this update, NO ONE can join the server when its on the map.

No games are optimized/made for laptops.

I've just updated the map...it's very well optimized now in terms of the amount of area being rendered. If you're still getting frame rate issues with this update, there could be other issues. Comparing maps sounds logical, but each map is very different in terms of sprites, particle effects, dynamic effects, etc. being used. Feedback on where you're having issues would be very helpful in narrowing down the problem.

well he is useing a laptop on other maps and getting 60 fps but on landfall hes getting 20-30 fps

Problem is actually your laptop. Not the map.

Map is great but it needs optimization. I'm playing on my laptop (PC is at home) and I'm getting 20-30 FPS on this map while I'm getting a solid 60 on other maps.

This map was updated yesterday. The server probably hasn't been updated...the official NWI servers should be updated. Others will require a restart to pull the updated map.

cant join server using this map get error that my doi_landfall differs from the servers?

I'm subscribed to this but any server I go into running this map says I have a different version to the one on the server

Yeah really needs optimization, I might not have the best (But not worst) rig but this is the only map I've ever played on that has outright crashed Insurgency.

God this map needs to be tweaked a balanced. Very pro defensive. Great maps still fun but does need editing.

for me this map is very poorly optimized... i look at a black wall and get 30 fps but look at somthing else and get around 50 to 60.. all other maps im 100 plus

I mean you could replace them with solid concrete and you'd have no problem getting in massive underground complex because you could just crawl between the bunker slits.

The steel doors are destructable...have your team use a bazooka on them and they're gone.

Great map but it sucks ass that people can easily crouch-jump and then prone through the bunkers. Makes it REALLY frustrating when you have no idea how people make it through 'secure' bunker slits behind you without warning. Hell, you could just remove the steel enterances and the Americans still wouldn't have any problems getting in.

Could you please put in description the information about whether it official map or not?

Can you maybe cut down on some of the particle effects?
I mean it looks nice and all but there's sooooooooo much fire and usually I don't have a problem running insurgency, this map just makes me fps drop like a bitch because of all the fire.
