you must use the regular mod launcher... it's not good enough and doesn't sort properly. for those of us using a proper mod launcher we need this and this doesn't work.
Just start the game with -nostartupmovies
- Unsubscribe from mod in Steam
- Launch game then quit
- Resubscribe in Steam
- Launch Game
- Activating the mod in the launch menu
- Click on Play
- Quit game
- Launch again
At that point the mod began working. It is possible one or more steps are unncessarry but that is what I had to do.
I am having a similar issue with other mods (though not all) and will try the same with them.
Alex
Please double check if this bug in ModBuddy may apply to your mod to help modded X2 games run better.
-nostartupmovies
It's actually XComEngine.ini file, not XComGame.ini
But the settings are right.
StartupMovies=X2_2KFXS_Logos
StartupMovies=X2_Logo
StartupMovies=UE3TechLogo_XC2
StartupMovies=XC2_LegalScreen
StartupMovies=Black
Anyway, works now! Thanks!
