Okay... for those having the issues I had with this mod not working with WOTC, I opened the mod folder and in the config subfolder added what I noticed seemed to be missing from other mods; the "Xcomgame.ini." I copied from another mod and replaced the info with this:

[SquadConceal.X2DownloadableContentInfo_SquadConceal]
DLCIdentifier="SquadConceal"

Verify the "TURNS_BEFORE_CONCEALMENT," setting to your taste as described below, and see if that's all it needs to work for you too

@wayne is there a version of this that works with WOTC? It used to when I played several months ago, but not anymore.

Is this broken for anyone when playing against the lost? I used the below fix but, when playing against Lost, the Lost cannot ever see me despite how close I get to them unless I use an ability or nade against them and even then only that specific pod (not one 8 tiles away) will see me. I cannot use normal attacks against them and they can't see me unless I nade them lol. Does anyone have a recommended fix for that?

I'll look to recreate this as a new mod with the updated fix.

@Wayne - can confirm this fixes the issue.

If you get the chance, can you update this for the mod for people who download it fresh / have to refresh INI files - as I think the change to 0 must've been accidental as the default setting.

@Displeased Owl In the configuration file, there's a setting called TURNS_BEFORE_CONCEALMENT, the last time I published the mod, the value was set to 0. If you set it to 1, the issue should go away.

I have looked over the source code, enemies active are not checked at the begining of the turn. It just checks the TURNS_BEFORE_CONCEALMENT and the type of concealment.

So i dont understand this. In the description of the mod it says "Conceals the squad if you see no visible enemies at the beginning of your turn." But EVERY TURN, even if im in the middle of a fight, my squad gets concealed. Even when i have visible enemies. Can this happen because it conflics with the LW2 Supressors mod or the True Concealment?

@[VG] Shedovv I am aware that the mod doesn't work for the latest version of WoTC. Sadly, I don't have the time to set up a development environment and investigate why the mod doesn't work anymore. The mod's source code is open-sourced if someone wants to fix it.

I knew when I originally posted this mod that I wouldn't be able to support it long-term... But since I had already built it for my own enjoyment, I opted to publish it anyways. Personally, I'm surprised it worked this long and I'm glad that so many people enjoyed it.

I have kept this listed as I haven't heard of anyone claiming it is broken without WoTC installed. Those who are still playing the base version of the game could still enjoy this mod.

I can only pray to all the dark gods that this gets checked by the author and updated if necessary given the below statements. I allways wanted games like XCOM to have LOS based detection and activity. And the introduction of Concealment in XCOM 2 gave me a taste of that. But since it only worked at the beginning of a mission I was allways left with blue balls. This mod basically changes that and I would love to play with it now. I am kind of ashamed I havent bumped into it sooner.

I have noticed this too. It worked a month or two ago, but is not working at all in WOTC now, which it used it.

i think there has been an update causing it not to work anymore.
The mod has not been updated since 2016 so i doubt this will be fixed but if it could that would be awesome as i really enjoyed using it. turned the game into something like splinter cell and didnt remove any challenge.

@RufusTheHound Check the configuration file for changing the settings. I believe that I changed the setting by accident when I was testing something and forgot to set it back when I re-uploaded.

Love the concept, but just tried this with WOTC and it concealed my entire squad, without fail at the end of each turn (had someone standing in the open right next to a sectoid and the squad was concealed then instantly revealed again). I have got a load of other mods running so it's probably one of those causing this but just checking in case you know a fix? Thanks

You misunderstood how this mod works. It doesn't reconceal you after you kill one unit, it reconceals you when you kill the entire pod that revealed you . Also you need to be not in the LOS of another unit from another pod otherwise the mod can't reconceal you.

Hello, author if you're still around I'd appreciate some assistance on using this mod. I just subscribed and played the game to see if it applied but after one unit killed an enemy still my whole squad lost concealment. Is there something I'm missing? I enabled it in the preload menu.

@p6kocka Definitely possible, but it is not something that I will be looking into. I recommend increasing `TURNS_BEFORE_CONCEALMENT` until you find a balance.

@Wayne IS it possible to add a keybind for turning concealment off in mission when every alien (beside Chosen) is killed? Or autoturn off after some turns without aliens?

@p6kocka It appears that you've found a limitation of this mod within the WotC. You can configure the mod to fit your needs (i.e. squad visibility versus individual visibility or wait more turns before turning back to concealed.)

So, have played a bit. The assassin is bugged when the whole squad gets concealed again. When the assassin will be revealed, she tries to use Vanishing wind,dissappeares and will be revealed again or she just stands there and does nothing. The chosen can´t do anything because they can´t act when the squad is concealed, because they appear only WHEN the squad will be 1st time revealed in vanilla....

@p6kocka it depends on what the chosen are doing. If the chosen are spawning a zombie or teleporting then then they can spawn them next to you. they cant shoot at you if you are concealed though

@Wayne How does the chosen react when the soldiers are concealed? Does the chosen see them? If no, assassin remains hidden after the xcom soldiers have killed all aliens. Because he doesn't see the units, they are concealed. And the units won't see the chosen, because he uses Vanishing wind

@Wayne Enjoy this mod, u got to be joking. This mod is practically a necessity if u wanna avoid unfair deaths. Plus realistically it wouldnt make sense for aliens halfway across the map to know your exact location cus u shot dead a lone wolf enemy.

Ever since I downloaded this mod I haven't played a single playthrough without it. Its a phenominal mod (keep in mind I have over 400 hours in the game). Why this mod does not get more attension is beyond me

Is it possible to edit your ini to have concealment enabled for every soldier from beginning? Because first concealment ends for every soldier.

Hope this gets updated for WotC as it's vital for a full on Stealth playthrough.
