btw gang, I got it working for your WOTC standard soldiers:
Along with adding new lines in the XcomContent.ini that have the lines for SparkSoldier as suggested below in the pastebin link from @Just Like a Metaphor, I've made a separate edit that allows the voices to show up on standard soldiers, RPGO soldiers, and MEC units!!

@Just Like a Metaphor Thanks so much for the Config Strings. It's work great with SPARK WOTC . For some reason I cant find the new voices on my regular soldiers though. Any help will be welcome.

For this to work with SPARKs in WotC, replace the XComContent.ini with this:

The past edit will not work for SPARKs in WotC. You do not need this edit to use with normal soldiers.

I believe you can assign them to human troopers but they're not set-up for SPARKs, I think the last update was before the release of Shen's Last Gift

You can manually update the INIs for SPARKs, scroll down a bit in this Discussion thread.

@Emmote, really? If it's really that simple then I'll update it soon. I thought it would require me to start digging into new unexplored areas :P

@Legion Prime - I could try, I've already made Advent Voices for regular soldiers, mecs shouldn't be much different. But again, no promises from me for now :D

It's very easy to update, took me less than a minute to update both EDI and Legion to be used on mechs. Just duplicate each line in the XComContent.ini and change the gender to eGender_None.

The data contained in the mod is big, 80-100 mb~ per voice pack, per language, per gender. No (easy) way around that. I've released a pack that is only for the english mecs, which is of smaller size - hence smaller ram consumption. Go check it out if you're having memory issues :)

Well, it still takes up over 1GB RAM by itself(in other words it's size, at least this is what seems to be the case for me from trying with some other mods), so I get why people think this still has issues. :iffy:

You should update the voice name localization in the game and give them some space, something like "MEC English 1" instead of "MECEnglish 1" for example. Just my suggestion.

I've been thinking about it, but I'm still in the baby steps of overriding/creating my own classes, and I'm sure by the time I learn, people are going to make such a mod. I know there is already a mod that lets you play with an Advent Mec on your team for example...

They don't really need to, someone could just make a heavy armor mod with heavy armor that looked like it and let you carry their abilities, the ability part would be harder but heavy armor already has items tied into it, someone would just have to create an AoE medkit attachment or a flamethrower one :)

You couldnt also split out the Polish voices into a separate pack, could you? I'm using a polish MEC voice for my "dracula" character, he sounds f'ing awesome :)

@Wibbleh I actually had an idea of making ADVENT soldiers talking like the soldiers in half life 2. So, your idea is SOMEWHAT in that ballpark :P I've got some irl work to do atm, but I'll definitely get on some more voice pack mods (and fixing the current!) during the week!

I'd also be really greatful if you could do that. :) My system is on the lower end of the spectrum on the RAM front but I'd love to have a decent english-speaking MEC voice in the game.

Yeah, that's a fair point, perhaps I should just chunk these into smaller parts, like MEC English or MEC Russian voices etc. I just wanted to release them all at once, so people (and I) have all the options together.

This voicepack is so huge in size :(
Unfortunately, it seems that all mods get loaded into RAM by XCOM, which means even on beefy PCs (i have 16GB ram) one has to be selective regarding which voice packs to go with, and this one being so huge i might need to give a miss :(
